"I live in Scioto County. My dad had a stroke and we were searching for a place to do speech through home health (not an easy task these days!). I called to ask about speech services here for Scioto County residents and was assured that Scioto County is included in their coverage area and all I needed to do was send a referral from the doctor. I submitted the necessary referrals and after a week of not hearing anything back called to inquire about the progress of the referrals. After talking to the third person about them supposedly not receiving the paperwork, they finally decided they remembered seeing the paperwork, but decided that it was probably not in their coverage area. This third person was supposedly going to ask the boss and get back with me, which I still haven’t heard a definite answer. I understand if we’re not in the coverage area, but please don’t advertise and assure people that Scioto County is in your coverage area because obviously all of Scioto County is not within the coverage area. Also, please have the courtesy to let people know if a referral is just going to sit on your desk and go no further because evidently if I hadn’t called back after a week, no one was going to reach out and let me know. Just wanted to let others in the area know."
