"I can’t believe the rating this company has on Home Advisor. The Google rating is much more accurate. Unfortunately, AHS warranty assigned this company to my service request on Aug. 3rd. They came out on the 6th and after 3min here, they said they were going to send the report to AHS. 48 hours later AHS was still waiting on report. After almost 72 hours, they finally sent it and it was partially approved. The out of pocket was $475. I called them to see what the charges were for, and that was the only time they quickly answered my call and the last. I accepted the charges and they said they would call me to schedule an appointment once the parts arrived. 2 weeks later and nothing. I called and left a voicemail. Nothing. On Aug 26, AHS said the system shows the part as “delivered at shop” on Aug 22 and they had to confirm with tech but would call me back as soon as they did. I called AHS every day from the 26 to the 30th only to be told the same thing. So here I am today, never got a return call from Sage and still waiting on them to confirm whether or not they have my water heater. A month without hot water and with a tank that continues to leak even after I shut it off and drained it out. If they ever complete the service, ill update my review"
"Unprofessional, Unprepared bad attitude, and no problem solving skills for a plumber Rex cut holes in my ceiling before learning or seeing where the water was coming from. They are contracted through HSA Home Warranty now I am stuck with finding someone find the leak and to fix the ceiling. Rex did not find any water coming from the cite he cut two holes in. I would not recommend Sage Mechanical nor HSA Home Warranty."
"Like everyone else in the reviews, I was connected to Sage mechanical through my home warranty company. Things started off fine, they went out and checked the water heater and said they would order new parts. The next week I called to follow up and left a voicemail, 24 hours later no call back and when I called again they didn’t answer. I contacted my warranty company who tried to reach them and sent an email, 24 hours later, still no response. I called yet again and no answer. The technician who came to the house was Rex. It’s been a week and still no hot water because apparently no one at this company can be bothered to do their job."
"Called me April 3rd to schedule to come the 4th. He came and said I needed a new water tank, was super quick to send all the information to AHS and charge them. April 4th end of day i approved ALL work. Was told to call Sage to make an appointment. Called april 5th and left voicemail. April 6th, nothing. Called April 7th, left another voicemail. April 10th they called me, i missed it. They didn't leave a voicemail i called them 5 mins later, and no pick up so left a voicemail again. April 11th called them again twice, no answer. So then i contacted AHS and told them the situation, they called Sage and marked it as not done and urgent. April 12th Sage calls me says they can be there in an hour. Looks good and works great but completely unnecessary run around. A simple phone call would of been more than enough. I could of waited no problem but Sage refuses to speak to me. I work 72-84 hours a week, if I got time to call you I promise you got time to call me. Man def was trying to play games and get money from the insurance company and do the work whenever he felt like it. I don't play games my dude. Thank you for the work, but honor your duties or find a different profession?"
"This company is a complete joke. I believe Rex is the owner. Was sent out by American Home Shield for a water heater leak. He said it was our PR valve. Was coming back to fix it in two days and this incompetent individual didn't see the main water shut-off valve located on the floor next to the water heater. I wasn't there to point it out to him but as a plumber, why wouldn't he know this? Tried to shut the water off in the crawl space and was too big to fit down there. Since he couldn't fit, he made it seem as if it was a different problem other than the valve, typical incompetence when you don't know what you're doing!!! Then he was nonresponsive to the home warranty company for weeks. Only to contact them after I gave a bad google review to come into my home. YOU WILL NOT STEP FOOT BACK INTO MY HOME! What is your motive for responding now? Business needs to be shut down!!!"
