"no I do not have an account. But I need to cash a check, drawn from here. This branch took my id, charged $10 and cashed the check with no problem, but the branch in tricounty refused the same documents provided to this branch."
"I just switched to Huntington just days ago. I received my first direct deposit in today. I wish I could say it was a good experience, but it was NOT. I first went to the drive up window (I was on a short break from work and needed this to be as fast as possible). After hitting the button and no one coming up to the window after a few minutes, I went inside. A little irritating but I could get over it easily. When I went in, I was greeted warmly by the branch manager. She seemed very helpful about assisting me to make a withdrawal. She took and then scanned my ID and told me since my ID was expired, I would not be able to access my money. I told her that I was getting cash out to go get my ID. I had no money to my name since I made the switch and they were not allowing me access to my money. We went back and forth a few times and she told me it was for my security, which I can understand to an extent. I do NOT have a temporary ATM card or checks so I would be penniless until my ATM card arrives mid to late next week. What infuriated me was the lack of help. I am worried and upset at this point, obviously. I have 2 children, we needed to get groceries, I have no gas to get home without my money AND I can't get my valid ID if there is zero way to access my money. Her suggestion was to "borrow it from someone" and to let me know she's not getting fired over me. She even admitted she could have bypassed whatever system was giving her the expired license alert, but she wasn't going to. She didn't direct me to someone I could speak with where I could maybe get checks or a temporary ID or if I can transfer funds to someone online. I'm at a loss as to what to do. Because it's not like I don't have money to feed my children or get my ID...I'M JUST NOT ALLOWED TO ACCESS IT. If you allow people to set their account up online (I used my drivers license number online) then you need to allow them to gain access to their account. This is ridiculous."
"Very rude, very negative when I asked them why there was a ten dollar fee to cash a personal check from one of their account holders. Their reply was "we cannot make any money if we cash every check for free" and said "we do not have to honor this check". "Do you want to pay the ten dollar fee or not?" The teller was rude as well as the branch manager. Needless to say, I will not be doing business at this location or any others. Huntington Bank needs to educate their employees in customer service."
"Very nice people. But I always had to go into bank. Can not do anything over the phone and the two times that I had to go in, the person had to call someone about my car loan. Also, you have to cancel before 5 business days. Would have been nice to have been told that the multiple times I was there before trying to cancel it. Now I have to fight the dealer for the payment."
"I give this Bank not a single star, yet I had to at least give hate or it won't publish. Hate is not even good enough for this place. I walk in during the lunch hour (mind you it's MY lunch). Four people, all of which are employees 2 behind the counter 2 on the floor. Not one looked up or greeted me, no they continued on their PERSONAL, not work related conversations. The "lady" behind the counter rolled her eyes and the "man" seemed to console her and say it's ok I got this one. Um excuse me in case you didn't realize, customers are the reason you have a paycheck!!! So he asked if he could help me I said I need a form notarized.. a bit of a deep breath and equally long release he informs me the "man" on the floor still having a personal conversation was the notary and he would see if he has time for that? Wow .. then he stood there being ignored by the notary. He comes back to me and says are you even a member of our Bank? I'm not so he then informs me OH well we only notarize for our Members turned and walked away as if I were scum.. not an apology or an invite to become a member AS IF I WOULD ... This place sucks save yourself .. go to First Financial Bank right next door. Great People very fast more than 1 Notary and no need to be a member nor was there a charge .. GO FIRST FINANCIAL !!"
