"We contracted with Curtis Bishop for a concrete driveway. Curtis has a 5 star rating on Angie's list but I can tell you that since May 10, the start date, all we have to show is demo work and our own private gravel quarry to speak of. Curtis had been returning calls and such and to be fair the weather and other complications have not helped. HOWEVER, we do not even get callbacks anymore. He told me over the weekend a crew would be here on Monday morning. It's Thursday eve as I write this message and no crew, no calls, no replies. I have to guess that something big is wrong .. health issues or deadlines and he cannot meet on other projects. It's a shame because Curtis knows his stuff and seemed interested in pleasing us. In any case, this is NOT a good time to be working with Bishop's Masonry. Addendum .. Since this review was written, but not because of the review, Curtis has been responsive and work has proceeded. When it's complete I will revise this entire review accordingly. Final addendum .. The job was completed and for the most part we are satisfied with the work. Our project had difficulties, along with getting it done during COVID and such but it should have gone better than it did and faster as well. Throughout Curtis tried to get us what we wanted. There are splatter marks of concrete here and there which shouldn't have happened but it was completed."

"I hired Curtis Bishop for plumbing and flooring job at my house. Total contract value was $6400. After signing the contract I paid him $3200 in advance. He took the money and came to work for couple of days, but barely did any work. After a week he stopped coming back to the house and kept making excuses. After a month he stopped picking up my calls or replying to my texts. Later on I also came to know that he never took the permit for plumbing job, which he agreed to do in the beginning. Only option I have is to go to the court, to recover my money. He is a dishonest man, so be careful if you are looking to hire him."
