"So here we go. Now first time truck buyer I knew what I wanted. Ray had a nice kenworth on the lot which I was fully prepared to pay for but was told it's to much truck for me. Like what kind of sales person does that. Then he showed me another nice truck. I agreed. Jumped through all the hoops he needed me to to get the truck to find out he is me a completely different truck. After all I did I was kinda in a bind and had to take it. When I first got the truck all 4 rear brakes were broke in half. All miss matched tires. And it has been one problem after another with the truck. Infact it's got to a point a year and a half later. I have to shut down cuz it costing more to repair the truck then I paid ($59,000). I do not recommend them at all. Garbage trucks. You can get better deal on a used truck at a dealership."
"Nothing but good things to say about Anna and Ray. The trailer was exactly as described and they went above and beyond for me. I’ll be staying in touch with them and referring everyone I know to them. Well worth the drive from Metro Detroit. Thank you Ray!"
"Patrick’s review isn’t very helpful, if you want to buy a truck you want a greasy oily unwashed unpainted and prettied up truck! Im coming here tomorrow to pick up 2 trucks and a trailer and I know what I’m buying because they didn’t wash or painted to hide issues, it is what is… I like Ray, seems like a stand up guy and I’m ready to give him a shot to get all our equipment from. We usually buy 3 units a year. I have drove 2k miles in 2 weeks looking at beautifully painted and cleaned trucks, all junk… I like Rays trucks with the oil leak, the grease and the rust! It means the truck runs!! Good luck everyone and give them a chance, or ask for detailed pictures before the drive."
"Well, as much as I didn't want to have to do this...here we go. We bought a truck from Ray almost a month ago. We drove almost 10 hrs one-way, and some paperwork got mixed up (not any fault of Ray's though) so we were there 2 full days. **Ray continued reassuring us that this truck was an absolute gem, and he had numerous other buyers to swoop in if we backed out. By the time everything was squared away, we finally get on the road to head home on day 3, which we were exhausted and concerned about starting our 10 hour drive home considering departure time was 2:30 p.m. Needless to say, not 30 miles from leaving Midwest Trucks and Equipment's parking lot...the service engine light comes on. Immediately we pull over and call Ray. (Fully prepared to turn back, and drive it right up somebody's behind.) But we were reassured, yet again that this truck was as solid and sound as they come, and he still stands behind that with telling us to go ahead and get it home and into a certified shop first thing the following morning, and that he'd pay for all repair costs. (Even went as far as saying he was a man of his word, and we had nothing to worry about.) SO, next day truck goes to a local certified shop...that afternoon we're contacted by the shop to authorize the pressure release valve on the back of one of the turbos to be done, at an estimated $2,600. Contacted Ray, and he said go ahead he was going to pay it. Well, here we are a month later...and still not a dime from Ray. We paid the $2,785 out of pocket just to get the truck back. Ray's been ducking and dodging our calls. Then 10 days ago he says the checks in the mail...still no check though. And at this point we've been given the run-around so much, I highly doubt he's going to honor his word, and be the man he claimed to be. So, for anyone out there looking to purchase a semi...PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING ****DON'T BUY FROM SOMEONE THAT CAN'T/WON'T/DOESN'T STAND BEHIND WHAT HE TELLS YOU, OR FOLLOW THROUGH WITH AGREED UPON TERMS OF ANY CONTRACT-WHETHER WRITTEN OR VERBAL**** *****If for some reason we'd receive payment on the work done after posting this...I will gladly remove, and give a revised review******"
