"Our house sits well back from the street, so we have a very long driveway (see the attached picture). We therefore consider it an investment, and we have made it a priority to keep it in excellent condition. Eleven years ago, we had a complete driveway replacement, and we have had Houck sealcoat it at appropriate intervals since that time. Houck recently sealcoated it this year, and the results were excellent, as usual. Their work crew did a thorough job preparing the driveway before applying the sealcoating, including trimming all of the adjoining grass and flowers and blowing off all grass and other clippings so they could apply the sealcoating all the way to the edges. As shown on the attached picture, ours does not look like an 11-year-old driveway. Where needed, Houck's crew applied a rubberized sealant to cover minor cracks and prevent water from getting into them. After the process was complete, I noticed that a couple of cracks caused by a tree root growing under the driveway were not completely sealed, so I emailed Houck and asked if they could apply a second layer of sealant. They contacted me that day to schedule a time to come out, and Doug, the representative, was here when he said he would be, and he promptly resealed those cracks. Houck does not cut corners and takes its work very seriously. If you want to maintain your driveway properly, I recommend that you contact Houck."
