"My partner and I stopped at Thornton's tonight for a pick-me-up and, lo and behold, there's a crappy, written in sharpie, I might add, sign on the door saying the station is closed. Google says "open 24 hours". That's clearly a lie, I guess. We've tried to stop by in the past and the same thing was present so I guess that's just normal? P.S. I don't want to see your apologies like I've seen down below. Change your hours on Google perhaps? Ridiculous."

"This store is never open from 9-11pm Wed and Sat in which they claim it safety reasons not Tru corporate needs check the cameras because it's always quiet and peaceful at this time but the employees have told corporate its dangers around that ti.e because of the skating place behind thorthons 2&1/2 years ago it was bad but now there just saying it just to get free money and it hurts the entire Groesbeck community that uses the store hope they fix this soon because there is no danger check the cameras no kids are there !!!!! Or dangers they open last wensday no problems and sat but now they told corporate something that's a lie"

"4/23/2022 Went to the men's room. Was here a week ago, and there was an issue with the soap dispenser being broken. Today there is no soap at all. Sign says all employees must wash hands before returning to work. Upon mentioning it to the clerks, I was interrupted. No compassion, no empathy. Just told to put the empty soap dispenser back and use hand sanitizer. I brought up the dismissive behavior and was told to move on. Now angry, I asked why they're being that way. It's like Thornton's does not care about their customers. Please retrain your team so they will have more empathy. If I was older, would they have treated me differently? I don't think so. On my way out, I suggested that maybe I need to take my business elsewhere if that's how you're going to treat your customers. They told me to get out. Months after previous review, and not much has changed. No paper towels, no squeegees, but you still promise them by having them installed by fuel dispensers. Is it worth being part of the Rewards program if overall service leaves much to be desired? 2/5 stars Previous review: I've been here twice in the past three days, and they still do not have squeegees anywhere for us to clean our windshields and windows. There is trash inside the fluid containers, and overall the outside seems unkempt. It's like they've stopped caring. 2/5 stars"
