Welcome to the Painesville Township Service Department, your dedicated partner in maintaining the safety and accessibility of our community's infrastructure. Located at 558 Fairport Nursery Road, Painesville, Ohio, our team is committed to ensuring the smooth operation of over fifty miles of paved and hard-surfaced roads throughout the township.

Our department consists of eight full-time service workers and one Service Director, all working diligently to uphold our major goal: the ongoing maintenance and improvement of road surfaces. Our responsibilities extend beyond road care, encompassing essential services like snow removal and infrastructure repairs.

During the winter months, we take on the critical task of clearing snow from 215 roads, the majority of which serve residential areas. Our skilled plow operators face unique challenges, such as the absence of curbs on many streets, but remain dedicated to ensuring safe passage for all residents. Please remember that when snow accumulates to two inches or more, parking on Township roads is prohibited to facilitate efficient snow removal. We kindly ask that snow not be plowed or pushed onto roads or neighboring properties.
