"Invite from Parish to celebrate the passing of loved ones. Thank you Father for this special event. After service they had some refreshments. I remember the Holland pinwheels ( I think that's what I remember they are called.). How appropriate our Mom used to get these for us as we were kids. Thank you for the wonderful service."

"Went to the school this church is connected to. Graduated in 2017. They failed me in many ways - the "sex ed" program was an abstinence/sti program. Didn't teach anything about safe sex for when we are ready/married, which could have gotten me in a ton of trouble had I not felt inclined to do my own research for my own safety. Safe sex does not equal no sex! It means education about protection, birth control, sterilization, etc. I had none of that here. The PLUS program they had, while at the time I appreciated it, I now know that teaching harm reduction tactics is much more efficient than telling people not to do drugs. People need to be taught how to do drugs safely if they are going to do them. Things like learning about Narcan, or the effects of mixing certain substances would have been nice. Instead, we were just told not to partake. As if that'll work. (It didn't for me). I went to high school, and was surprised to find that I was behind in English, even though it ended up being one of my best subjects later on. The algebra class I took in eighth grade, the teacher taught with POWERPOINT SLIDES. I do not learn that way, which is why I barely passed that class. I learn through hands-on and examples, not looking at words on a screen. Every year before that, the previous instructor used actual examples and showed us what worked and what didn't. I went to high school, and no one used slides to teach math. The exception was if the slides were of an example. For which the teacher would physically walk through it, not talk through it. I don't know what it was, but when I finally went to high school, I actually started to feel like I was truly learning and understanding everything I was taught. This school needs a major overhaul - and so does the church. One of my lower income friends was screamed at by the priest for needing financial help. That's not very Christian behavior. We help the poor, we don't scream at them for a situation they likely can't control. Overall, if you send your children here, please reconsider. If you must, please make sure to supplement their education with applicable knowledge to the real world."

"We went for a friend's baby's baptism. The church looked very nice and of course it was a blessed event. The stained glass windows are beautiful."
