"I do not recommend this church. This church has a few odd beliefs that resulted in me being kicked out. I was told by the pastor that “this is not the place for you” and then I was kicked out. I was not living in sin at the time nor was I arguing with anyone. It was explained to me that it is only for the unsaved and church members. Other bizarre encounters include being told by another member that I was “…using the church for your social needs”. I was also asked to vacate a pew for “other people”. There are better churches to go to than this one in Defiance."

"I've had the joy of attending King's Cross since in the doors opened in September of 2013. Over the last couple years I have noticed how committed King's Cross is to exalting Christ through teaching, preaching, song and study. My faith has grown exponentially from Sam's preaching. It's like a waterfall of the Gospel crashing over you on every Sunday morning. He preaches faithfully and seeks to expose the beautiful truths contained in the Bible without adding to them. One of the my favorite parts of King's Cross is singing together. The music isn't blaring out of the speakers, it's at a level that allows for me to actually hear those around me. A little foretaste of what it will be like to sing together with the saints for all eternity. I love this church and am incredibly thankful for it."

"A church that has loved me on my hardest days. The teaching is solid and Christ-exalting. The people are warm and inviting. Somehow they found a way to make worship feel both contemporary AND like your voice is joining the generations who came before you with the same songs and creeds believers have affirmed for centuries. Their small groups studies are life-giving, their leadership works hard to equip all its members for the work of ministry, and their congregation loves in tangible ways. If you are seeking an understanding of the scriptures, a deeper love of God, and a community to grow in...I cannot recommend this place highly enough!"

"King's Cross is a bible-centered, expository-preaching church. They're a bit traditional in their services and don't have the flashy lights and sounds, but that's one thing I love about it. They also have a very strong church family with genuine followers of Christ. The people are very open, accepting, and loving."
