"Wife had mushroom swiss burger an fries. Burger was good but mushrooms came out of a can. Fries were perfect she said. I had biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were undercooked leaving them a little doughy an the microwave did not help. Gravy had good thickness to it (floury) but lacked a lot of flavor. Home fries were lacking any type of flavor and the sausage patties should have been sent back to Bob Evans. Adding a little flavor to the above items would help. Being a professional chef (retired) this can be done for very little cost. Noticed that there was little comfort food on menu such as meatloaf, chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, and of course, fried cod dinner. There is no substitute for cod folks. Haddock is not cod and is an insult to people who want a good fish platter. Go the extra mile and bring back the cod fish platter. I might stop in again for a burger and fries. We SO want it to be good. PS: your root beer is pretty good."

"Best original diner in town. Great food selection with hearty portions. The bar feels like something out of the 1800s and they have a decent selection of liquors. They serve in DORA cups so you can take them to go if needed."

"Reasonabley priced home cooked food. Daily specials . Bar has local draft beer and cocktails. We were there on a Tuesday and it was packed. The spinach salad with hot bacon dressing is delicious. The hot Tom and Jerry seasonal cocktail is delicious and very popular"

"Tom and Jerry resembles a warm delicious egg nog with a kick. Beef Manhattan is everything you could ask for comfort food. Great attentive service!"
