"I was rented an extremely unsafe 26' truck that shook violently over 55mph and after I pulled over I found the cooling system leaking heavily. Why? It could be the duct tape that was holding it together. I have a photo. Went to get another truck at the willoughby location and the older gentleman decided to make assumptions and hinted I didn't know how "trucks ride". I sure do but the one I was rented wasn't safe. You'd think they'd try to give me something better to drive. Sure, except the check engine light was on, which I pointed out and was told it was "due for maintenance" but the random losses of power begs the differ. Additionally, it was completely out of fuel! I asked if I could have one of the 20 other trucks and the guy scoffed at me and told me to just take the one I was given, calculate my fuel and put exactly that amount in the tank. I was in a hurry (made late due to having to make two unexpected stops to get a truck and fuel it) . The truck was also sticky. Can't get worse?! Sure it can! I returned it, left a note indicating it had no fuel and to my surprise, they charged me for fuel and some "fuel service". I didnt owe for fuel! I'm still waiting for a call back from customer service. Oh, I did forget something. You double charged my card. Wondering how that's going to be explained. I'm pretty sure this is fraud. I need a call back or I'm going to make a few calls of my own. This is willful disregard for safety and charging my card multiple times is almost certainly fraud as I didn't authorize it."
"Location seemed to be disorganized and understaffed. Rental pickup and drop-off process was a bit clunky and harder than it should have been. Only bright spot was a person named Candice who seemed like the only one who had a clue! I will most likely use a different U-Haul location next time, further from my home than this location."
"Terrible experience. Woman behind the counter doesn’t know how to work at uhaul. I ended having to pay for an extra day despite having not booking for one. I would recommend going to literally any other location to rent a uhaul."
"Terrible terrible terrible. Listen to the reviews and drive 5 minutes farther to not deal with these people. Got charged $35 for “leaving it a mess”. I took a photo of the blanket (I rented) and only the blanket in the truck. I called to dispute and she hung up on me. Took it to the regional manager, Brian and he must have been at the same customer service summit as her. Terrible! I could care less about $35, its the principle that I was charged with photo evidence (on my part) that I left everything in pristine condition and they charged with no explanation."
"The lady behind the desk has little common and no business sense.....zero people skills. We bought 2 pieces of equipment to be repaired, was told 3 weeks max. 3 months later they still were not done and they couldn't find one of them. We rented several trucks from them and each was a dirty mess when we came to pick them up. Years ago, this place had great service and employees...now, we just won't go back anymore."
