"My fiance and I stayed here the last week in July and it was the most amazing experience! They even allowed our hedghog to come! Staff was very personable and friendly. Shanna was fantastic! They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They also have the best ice. Rooms were clean. Everything worked great! We stayed for a few days in May and loved the place so much we booked this trip as soon as we got home. Can't wait to come back!"

"We had a blast this week staying at the Blockade Runner Motor Inn! We had a very simple check in and check out experience. The front desk staff were lovely and fun to interact with! Anytime we had a question they were willing and ready to help us in any way! Our rooms were clean and were exactly what we asked for. The pool and hot tub were great to play in. The walkways to the beach are great. There is a shower station to rinse when you come off the beach and another by the pool! There were some small updates that were made from our last visit like a curtain between the kitchen and main part of the room that positively added to the experience! Overall it was a very pleasant vacation experience and we will be staying with them again!"

"We have been coming here for years now and I have to say I love it. The view is amazing the walk to the beach is short for me and being short this helps. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The kitchen was clean as well. The people that now running it have went out of their way to help us anyway possible. Anything we have needed the made sure we got it. The prices are fair and you won’t find a better rate. The pool and hot tub are awesome. You can relax and the atmosphere, is family oriented. The location is in walking distance from a restaurant, also from grocery store and most anything you want There is also a washer and dryer on site so if you need it, you can use it Favorite part is the balcony at night that overlooks the ocean and you can hear and see it is most relaxing. I would recommend this motel to any one."

"We have used/stayed at this hotel,blockade for over 20 years. Several trips a year. Weeks at a time. Never again. Prices had almost doubled. Rooms ,beds stains on sheets pillows and the quilt. They look for a reason to charge you extra fees. Bed sheets were wrapped in plastic wasn’t put on the beds. We made our own bed when we found stains on the pillows. Had issues with flies and nats. Ask for another room even though front staff member stated there were several unused rooms they wouldn’t move us but their solution was giving us a fly strip. Wouldn’t even go to the room and see just how bad it was. This new company isn’t interested in providing a nice room or a pleasant stay , their interest is money. Also pictures posted isn’t this hotel. Just the opposite. Never again."

"First stay at The Blockade Runner and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, decorated nicely and the mattress was comfortable. The balcony was private and large, with a great view. Restaurants, bars and shopping just a short walk away. The service was excellent. The AC unit in the room was not cooling well. This issue was resolved within a few hours of reporting. This place has an old school, retro charm enhanced by the affordable rates. I will definitely visit again."
