"I am disgusted. I dialed *HP to report an incredibly reckless driver. Doing 80 plus down 501 all over the side of the road (mind you, this is at 8:30 at night. The day before July 4th. People have their children in their cars). Vehicle was all over the grass and the median almost hit me and a few other vehicles. They hung up on me when I tried to describe the vehicle. I attempted to call back a second time and I was put on hold. It is a real shame what my tax dollars go to. Born and raised here, and they cannot even hear me out! Maybe it just wasn't enough DUI revenue for them to have somebody go and check it out. They are probably all stuck at barefoot landing or Broadway, trying to make that money for the state. It's pathetic."

"So grateful to have our troopers and police officers on duty. Minor traffic accident handled with professionalism and courtesy on 5/18 on 707 and 544 intersection. Our community is very fortunate to have them. Thanks again from the SBB ladies."

"Had a abandoned, derelict vehicle parked in my neighborhood. Called the South Carolina Highway Patrol and a Trooper showed up in no time. He went onto explain to me what he could do and took care of business. This Trooper was very professional and polite. Even shook my hand. You hear often the negative from the public, about law enforcement, but let's not forget the tough and dangerous job they are in. Thank you for your help and professional support. Update: wouldn't you know that just after the Trooper left someone showed up and removed the abandoned vehicle. Thanks again."

"I had a tire blowout on me in an area where I had no help and was a good distance from home. Patrolmen Casey Jones and Micha Chiaravalloti responded and were at my location within 10 minutes. My spare was flat as well so these guys did everything they could to assist me getting my spare aired up and back on the road. Both of them were very nice, funny and professional and went out of their way help me as much as possible. I want to thank them both and the SC Highway Patrol for doing what they did, I truly appreciate it."

"Desperate for a traffic ticket? Want to be given the wrong kind of traffic ticket? Feeling like visiting traffic court because you have nothing better to do? Bump into one of these guys!!!! They're more than happy to pull you over but forget to cite you with the reason for the stop! So your case will probably be quick and painless. Looking for a little more from these folks?? Don't bother, they have no desire to tell you anything. But they love to play phone tag! Call and ask them a question and they'll hang up, call back and you'll get a different person! They love to sit 6-8 of their cars in a row at small events to make it seem like your tax payer money is actually going to something productive! So if you're looking for something to do on your day off or lunch break just drive past one of these guys and they'll be more than haply to take you to jail and forget about your paperwork!!"
