"This place has the best sweet tea! Their salads are always fresh, and the staff is always pleasant. I ask a few questions, and they are always willing to answer them!"
"Rotten lettuce, poorly cut bread that was rubbery, maybe a drop of honey mustard on the club sandwich and best of all they put a SLIVER of turkey at the front of the club to make it appear to have turkey when in fact it was all ham and two slender uncooked looking pieces of bacon. I honestly go harp on how horrible it was for much longer but I’ll leave it at that. Seriously how does it even go so badly? Sat at the drive through just to be ignored and walked in to a dead silence and multiple workers standing right by the window. Guess no one wanted to do their jobs? Just yikes for a first experience this was a real bad one, will not return to this place or any of them after that."
"I had the McAlister's Club sandwich with a side of mac&cheese. The sandwich was delivered to the table very fast after putting in the order. It was a freshly made sandwich with warm mac&cheese. The deli was very clean, with no trash on the tables. Would definitely go back to try more items off the menu."
"My husband and I had lunch today at McAllister’s Deli on 544 in Conway. (We normally dine at the McAllister’s near Coastal Grand). There was no one at the counter when we walked in and we waited a few minutes before the cashier came out - with a big attitude and seemingly annoyed that we interrupted what she was doing in the kitchen. She stood there and stared at us with an unpleasant face. No “Hello”, no “How may I help you” - she just stared at us. I finally asked her if she was ready to take our order and pointed out that she should greet the customers. Aside from this unpleasant person, the salad had pieces of rotten greens - see photo (first time I’ve seen this). The greens were wilted and the half sandwich was probably made before the salad, so it was cold. I asked to speak to the manager - a polite young man who apologized and said he will address the issues. McAllister’s has healthy food options and the food is quite good at Coastal Grand. At the Conway location, they need to train their staff in customer service. Additionally, a hello and a pleasant face will make customers feel welcome and they will return, providing, of course, they improve the food and service at this location."
"In 1989 in an abandoned movie-set diner in Mississippi, the deli with the slogan “Our food is our foundation” came to be. Now, with 400 locations in 28 states “they invite you to come for the food and stay for the experience.” From the famous 13 layers of the McAlister’s Club, to the giant Spuds covered with all your favorite toppings, from the delicious sweet tea to succulent soups and decade desserts. I have dined at a number of different locations and have never had a truly bad experience. Yes, some more memorable than others. This location was commendable as soon as I walked in. Clean, bright open dining area with counter ordering and padded booths and high top tables and chairs. Sitting outside one can enjoy the patio or the second story balcony. I ordered the McAlister Club with smoked turkey, Black Forest ham, bacon, sharp cheddar, mix of greens, sliced tomato, mayo and McAlister's Honey Mustard™ on wheat toast. I enjoyed the many layers of deli fresh meats and cheese, crisp greens and fresh produce, nicely stacked on wheat toast complimented with mayo and honey mustard. My side was the Mac and Cheese, that was hot and creamy with a nice mix of cheddar, American and Neufchatel cheese. To further enhance my deli dining experience, I picked up the Colossal Carrot Cake to go. A nice slice of moist carrot cake with walnuts and cream cheese frosting. My dessert of choice. Needless to say, the whole piece didn’t make it home. The long hair across my pickle was a slight deterrent but counter staff were quick to replace it with 3 more. Kalie was personable and our food came quick."
