"Spent a lot of time there studying for exams."
"This library is a bit heartbreaking to me. Compared to other libraries we are used to, this one is very uninviting for kids and doesn't offer hours that work well for those with a 9 to 5. It's nearly impossible for me to pick up the books I put on hold. The children's area has the saddest manipulatives. They are all worn out and the puzzles are all missing pieces. The area is also grimy. There are a bunch of stuffed animals that seem inviting but they're not reading buddies--they're just decorations. There are also a bunch of unfriendly 'DO NOT' signs everywhere. I really wish someone would look at things from the POV of a kid when in the kids' section. I am just disappointed that the library isn't more encouraging for new readers or lifelong learners. It's time to evaluate the role of the library for the community. It should be a hive of learning and exploration. Not a place where you immediately feel like using hand sanitizer and to spend as little time as possible there."
"Very nice public library. Great people work there. In convenient location in fountain city near Central high school. Always clean inside and outside."
"Out Of State Visitor Looking For A Quiet Place Visiting from Georgia, I had to finish some work that required an hour or so on a laptop with steady wifi. With a quick search, I found this library which others said had steady wifi and I also favor a smaller library over a larger (with no parking) one. Entering, I did not receive an welcome gestures, which I'm not actively seeking but then again it would have been nice. While I was there, I know the personnel are friendly because they were talking to other people as they entered- so makes sense if the locals get more of a welcoming fare. Alas, the overall vibe was relaxing and productive. Being there from early noon to late 1300 hours, there was very minimal noice, apart from an eager child who wanted to hold her books after checkout. There were plenty of sockets embedded in the carpet to plug in my electronics. They had plenty of fiction books with a quick glance around. Very book based versus other places which look more like a community center. Oh! And clean bathrooms. Definitely enjoyed that. I would visit again, thank you."
"Nice sized library with a wonderful children's section; plenty of tables and chairs, benches/chairs for parents, countless stuffed animals, magnet boards, big DVD selection, and a good board book selection. The artwork in the children's area is beautiful as well, especially with all the trees right outside the large windows. All the employees I've interacted with have been very friendly. A review from two years ago states there is no wifi, but they do have wifi at all the Knox County library locations now. This is one of our favorite branches."
