On several occasions I have communicated with her, and others employed at this office and have effectively resolved my many questions quickly. What must be a difficult position dealing with the general public, as front office personnel, I have witnessed the collaboration between each person employed within and would rate them highly! "Trying to develop our future primary home was a bit complicated due to the size of our property, the type of construction and being in the Mountain protection zone. Both the building and the septic departments could not have been more professional and knowledgeable. Both clearly know their jobs and made themselves available for questions and directions. Inspections went as scheduled. This is not our first adventure in developing a piece of land in different locals. So far these to departments have been the most professional we have worked with."

"Martin Pilot is very helpful. He is even tempered, can explain things very clearly, and is generally as helpful as he can be. Nora Combs, however, is remarkably rude to the concerned citizens of Union County. She is on the verge of explosive as far as her attitude and someome with that kind of temperament shouldn't be working with the public. Especially when it's the county she's working for, and we pay our taxes. If she is so bothered by doing her job, perhaps she should retire, or seek employment elsewhere. Nora also felt the need to return my phone call when I explicitly asked for Martin to. There was no need for Nora to call me, or speak with me when I was requesting information from the code enforcement officer, not the office manager with a known attitude. My husband later spoke to Martin who apologized on her behalf. As a lifelong citizen of Union County, and someone who traces her ancestry to the very founding of it in 1832, I can tell you, Union County Building and Development can do better. And steer clear of Nora Combs, who will not have your interests as a tax paying resident at heart. Go straight to Martin or Gavin with your concerns if you truly want them listened to."
