"Great area to take the kids to swim, bring a lunch and hang around a while. Clean!"
"This is a great place to go swimming. It's ok for children if they can swim. If not it doesn't get deep until you walk about 20 feet into the water. The downside for me is everyone that goes there and doesn't clean up after themselves, drink alcohol, and then feel the need to break beer bottles. Those people ruin the experience for others."
"Great starting point for a beautiful drive along the Little River, but I enjoy it best for a bike ride. Make it as long as you like. 3.5 miles to first intersection, 8 miles to access to U.S 321, 15 miles to the Townsend 'Y' just inside the Greast Smoky Mtns. Nat. Park, and about 20 miles if you head up to The Sinks. Hills are small, you can make some good time on this route."
"Me and my friends used to jump off of Holder's bridge when we were in high school in the 70s. Nice deep spot with minimal current. We would stop here on our way to go tubing in the mountains. No people or traffic back then. Today, it seems this spot is used predominantly as a parking lot for bike riders. Very busy, especially on the weekends. Perfect place for riding along the river in the Foothills. Not so much for bringing a family for a picnic and a swim. They are much better places for that"
"My favorite place to ride. This is the beginning of one of the premier cycling roads in the county. There is a greater traffic load when the leaves are turning but still a great ride. If you do a back and forth from bridge to bridge it is around 20 miles however you can continue on through Townsend and to Cade's Cove and back and get 40 miles. There is a high school at the beginning of the road and during school season you have to be careful of the young drivers, they drive fast and a little careless."
