Welcome to Powell United Methodist Church - Church & Society Food Pantry, a dedicated food distribution center located at 323 West Emory Road, Powell, Tennessee 37849. As a mission-driven community of faith, Powell Church is committed to embodying Jesus’ teachings by loving and serving our neighbors throughout East Tennessee.

Our Food Pantry plays a vital role in this mission by providing essential food supplies to families in need. In 2018 alone, we served over 2,800 local families. We are open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 10 AM, and on the third Saturday of each month from 9 AM to 11 AM. For additional details, please contact our church office at 865-938-2741.

In addition to the food pantry, our Clothes Closet is available every third Saturday of the month, offering much-needed clothing to those in need. We welcome donations, especially casual Fall/Winter clothing, boys' and girls' clothing sizes 18 months to youth, and small-sized men's clothing.

Powell Church extends its mission beyond the local community by supporting initiatives like the Morgan Scott Project in Deer Lodge, Tennessee. We contribute financially and provide vegetable seeds for their Good Earth Garden project, aiding families in growing their own gardens.

Our community outreach includes Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets for families needing assistance during the holidays and an annual Christmas party for children with incarcerated parents. These initiatives provide opportunities for you, your family, or your group to participate and make a meaningful impact.

We also support Powell Elementary School by collecting school supplies each year, ensuring that every child has the tools they need for success.
