About the Business
Welcome to Love Kitchen Inc.
Located at 2418 Martin Luther King Junior Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee, Love Kitchen Inc. has been a beacon of hope and compassion in the community since 1984. Inspired by a vision to serve Knoxville's needy, Helen Ashe, along with her twin sister Ellen, established this charitable endeavor to feed God's children and uplift those in need.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to provide meals and emergency food packages to homebound, homeless, and unemployed individuals of all races and faiths. Collaborating with local agencies, we strive to promote self-sufficiency and support for those we serve. At the heart of Love Kitchen is the power of volunteerism. Our kitchen and delivery services are operated almost entirely by dedicated volunteers, ensuring that donations make the maximum impact possible.
Love Kitchen is not just a place to find nourishment but a community center and haven for area children and their families. Over the last three decades, thousands of generous volunteers have given their time and services, embodying the spirit of love and equality that Helen and Ellen championed.
Our doors are open Monday through Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, welcoming everyone with open arms. Whether you're in need of a meal or looking to volunteer, you are part of our family. Together, we continue to build a community where everyone feels welcome and loved.
Visit us today at Love Kitchen Inc., where love is served daily.

"Define disabled Because we drive and go to the store to survive We consider disabled When we are disabled we get a checks But when you can't on no helping you you have to improve yourself and do what have to do When rude dawn tell us we can't get meals anymore cause we are able to get around but we can get around but not too good that why when we go to the store we depend on the mobile carts Plus need to honor people allergies to some foods my wife allergic to corn and can't have spicy food so she doesn't eat them"
"Food not good Kick out people who disabled Yeah people have cars cause can't get to there appointment without it Rude people especially lady name Dawn"
"Very sweet people. They do everything they possibly can to help people in need"
"Volunteered here for years !! The Sister where created from Pure Love and went out of there way to give that same pure love on all the souls they spoke to or interacted with. I am fortunate to have never needed their services(cooked food & non perishable Bags of food) but I sure received the Love! I received a lot of Love from them. Rest In Heaven Ladies Forever Remembered!!"
"Volunteered there once. They do a wonderful service for the area. It is true that some rude and insensitive people do sometimes work there though. From what ive seen though it pales in comparison to the ungrateful and selfish attitudes of some people thatvuse their services. Complaining about a portion size or some other mundane detail such as having to stand in line will get under anyones skin over time...especially when not being paid. I think it should have some more oversight in that area so that it can be corrected when it comes up though."
