"Location and price are the only positive for this gym. Equipment is not maintained and lots of machines are broken. Pads are ripped and foam falling out. Smelly, filthy and needs a complete overhaul."
"Awesome little gym! They have all the equipment you need to get in a good workout. Matt and Candace are great people and the new location is far better than the old one!"
"Love the new location and how it's more spread out great place to go relax and get ya workout on(working out relaxes me to be able to focus more on the workout) you gotta go check it out I've been a member for almost a yr now and won't be going anywhere else love the hype"
"Our new location is 157 Myers Ln. suite 201 Lafollette. We Love our members! Our new facility is Amazing! None of our upholstery has rips or tears. Maybe the normal "used" condition because it's used every second of every day. Equipment BREAKS mainly (CABLES) because cables do that in every gym, but it is always fixed as soon as it happens. We do not have any equipment broken for more than a week at the most. So i wouldn't say equipment has been broken for months. If so can you please show me because I'm unaware. We have a bigger facility meaning a little bit bigger BILLS so we raised our price $3 since we moved into this building. Wouldn't say "over the past 6 months with no explanation" Anyone who knows me - knows I keep my facilities clean and disinfected all day. As to the ceiling tiles missing? No there are NO missing ceiling tiles. You must of been referring to the days we were having air conditioner fixed, tv's installed, security cameras installed, the automatic door system installed or new electric lines ran for the tanning beds and treadmills. Oh, that probably explains the "wires" being everywhere also. As for the music, if you had an issue you are always more than welcome to come request to turn it down. I have people request to turn it up, turn it down, change the station, do this, do that. I always try to accommodate but I can't always do that when so many request something different. Yes, we have signs everywhere telling people to RE RACK their weights. Every gym does. I've also been in many. No one working out behind you wants to re rack your weights. That's a common courtesy. I would hardly call that "scolding" We love our members and are for our members but we can't make hundreds of people happy at the same time but we sure try. As far as you saying "contract" we do not have contracts. We are only month to month. Just thought I would explain since that review was inadequate. Hope this explains it for you and helps put things into perspective for others."
"The word "Hype" means to make that something is far better than it is, and the owners of this business work hard to live up to the name. As a gym, this place is adequate, but it's quite clear that the owners have no interest in their clients beyond maximizing their profit. This creates a nice condition for anyone who would like to compete in this market. The contract says that prices can be increased without warning, and the owners have lived up to that by raising monthly dues 23.5 percent over the last six months with no explanation. The "new" building is in worse condition than the non-profit thrift stores in town with inadequate cooling, missing ceiling tiles, dirty walls, and wires everywhere. The music piped in the back is dangerously loud (loud noises are especially dangerous when working out). Machines that didn't work six month ago still don't. Machines with ripped upholstery still have ripped upholstery. Also, as a person who has belonged to some gym for thirty years now, I've never seen so many sign in one place scolding their customers. If they weren't convenient, they wouldn't be here (and I wouldn't be a member), and I predict they won't be here in three years."
