"Liked the salon but beware of CINDY! Here is how she treated me: 3/22 Got haircut as a new client. She talked me into a new hair style with the promise, said several times, that if I couldn't work with it she will fix it! 3/24 Texted I didn't like it & asked her when I could come in & get it fixed. 3/29 (5) days later she finally offers me an appt the next day. Short notice & I had a prior commitment so asked for an alternate day & time. 4/6 (8) days later & still haven't heard back from her so asked again. 4/11 Still no answer so asked again. Then she texts me back saying she has nothing till May. 4/12 Asked again for her first available in May now. 4/15 Still no answer so I ask again. She texts she'll get back with me. 4/18 She tells me she has no available appts & do I want her to see if someone else has time to cut my hair. At this point of her putting me off & ignoring me for close to a month now.....I ask her if I would have to pay someone else. Cindy had promised she would fix my layers if I wasn't happy with what she did. Now get this......she proceeds to tell me I only had 1 week to come back to get it fixed. First of all she NEVER said that at my haircut or for the month of me texting trying to get an appt & her ignoring me. She would not give me an appt time I could do that first week & then tells me so sorry it had to be fixed within that first week. Did she just make that up? I have never had a hairdresser so rude & unprofessional. All my hairdressers have always been concerned about their clients being happy with their hair & not just the money. Which by the way....I paid $36 which is on the highest end in this area, and, gave her a good tip. Also, during my haircut as a new client....her daughter calls her and Cindy puts her on speaker phone so she can keep cutting my hair. She proceeds to argue with her mom insisting she leaves the salon to go pick up the dog because she wants to do something else. Cindy keeps telling her she has a new client in the chair. This girl rudely and so disrespectfully keeps ordering her mom do it. This continues on with Cindy answering the phone several more times arguing with her on speaker phone each time. I'm sitting there being made to listen to all that. Extremely rude and unprofessional of them both!!! My final warning......this same rude, disrespectful, I don't care about the client attitude daughter is going to be cutting hair at the salon beside her mom. I'm sure new clients will be given to her. Is that the type of hairdresser you want? Just Sayin.....might want to think about that."

"Will not get my hair done any where else! I have long thick curly hair and have had trouble in the past finding a good stylist. Haley is amazing and now I will only see her. Such a great atmosphere. The clothes are amazing and they are so warm and friendly! Getting services done there is like a little minni vacation. I always leave happy and relaxed. If you have not been in stop by I highly recommend."

"Had such an experience at Mama Tried Salon & Boutique. Asked my stylist how much to have my extensions adjusted and my color redone. She said $130. So i paid the $130 and sat at the salon for five hours last night and ended up having to leave to go get the kids and we made plans to put the extensions back in today (which she told me last night would take at least 30 minutes) since all she got done in 5 hours was removing the extensions and butchering my color. So i drive an hour back out to the salon today for her to tell me that three hours wasn't enough time to put the extensions back in. She suggested I find another stylist. So i asked for a refund for the amount that she quoted me for readjusting (which includes putting them back in) the extensions. She refused to refund that portion of my money. My review of Mama Tried Boutique is that they have stolen from me. The owner likewise has refused to refund the money. If you want extensions, i can tell ya not to go to Mikayla Powell at Mama Tried Boutique... or at least dont put your money in her sticky hands until the entire service is completed."
