SmartStyle Hair Salon 2824 Appalachian Highway, Jacksboro, TN 37757

"I went there on Aug 12 to get a spiral perm. My hair was very healthy and just past my shoulders. I was charged 144.00 because my hair was so long. Linsey was the hair stylist who did the perm. First off she rolled my hair like a normal perm not a spiral perm. Then she went outside to smoke and yell at someone on her phone for 30 mins. The perm is to be left on for no more than 25. By the time she got me rinsed off the solution was on my hair for 45 mins. She never asked me to sign a chemical release form. She didn’t even bother to do a strand test to see how my hair would react to the perm solution. A week later I had to go to a different hair stylist because there was no way I was going to let her touch my hair again! the had to cut over six inches off my hair, all the way up to my ears and it’s still got damage on it! Now I’ve had to buy a wig and multiple hair products to try and repair the damage and they are actually refusing to give me a refund!!!! So unless you want this to happen to you steer clear of this place! Update: September 9th 2024, I responded to the manager who commented on this post. I emailed them twice last week with no response. I was simply asking for a refund for the 144.00 that it cost me for this service. I didn’t ask for anything else even though I’ve had to spend twice that amount on treatments to help repair the damage. I’ve had to buy a wig just to look half way normal out in public and hair products to try and make my hair look better. So there’s nothing that this company is willing to do to try and rectify the situation. That tells me that for all their blathering about how much they care about the customers in reality they couldn’t care less about you!"

She made great color suggestions and suggested a look I didn't even knew I liked! Lindsey thank you for your suggestions thank you for the sale suggestion and thank you for doing an amazing job at making me feel pretty. I will be back to see you for a touch up in a few weeks... you was very patient with me"

"You get what you pay for. Cheap haircut and cheap look. I took my daughter to get a haircut and I requested a certain length and the hair was cut about 2 1/2 inches above the length I wanted. The cuts were not even and lopsided. I found long strands sticking out everywhere and ended up fixing it myself when I got home. There was only one person working and customers were flooding in and becoming impatient with her so the whole process was rushed just to get us out the door. Will be paying more to go somewhere else next time."
