Vonore Baptist Church

"Very good preacher who teaches the Bible (not just a Christian pep talk), the music/choir is very good and moving/powerful (a lot of hymns, but I love their sound!), and all the kids told me they loved their programs, which is hard to find. 6th and up is Wednesday night only, but younger kids get dismissed into their classes after worship on Sundays. They also have a great facility with a teen building and they have a huge gym! I'm not sure why this place isn't filled to the brim. I'd suggest a better website, with more info on the landing pages, and maybe make it more comfortable to dress down (I didn't see more than 1 or 2 pairs of jeans, which makes it uncomfortable for a lot of people). We really do love this church! Very welcoming and comfortable!"

"This church very generously allowed my brother in law. Bobby Lewis to lay in state after he passed. They graciously volunteered their facility and then provided the family with a home cooked meal after the funeral. Thank you. You are appreciated."

"Church was lovely. Preacher put life experiences into the word to help you understand what the word is saying and bringing to light, plus he had a sense of humor to keep you well engaged. Would recommend going one Sunday to see if it's the church for you."

"A friend and I visited a couple of weeks ago. The music was inspiring and the sermon was biblically sound but only 1 elderly man acknowledged our visit. Not a friendly welcoming church. I'm new to the area and was disappointed. I'll keep looking."

"The special song this morning was literally "Angelic"! I wish I had recorded it. The sermons are spot on. This was my 4th visit. The pastor spoke about God and idols. He also asked us to examine ourselves to discover whether we have personal idols in our lives this Sunday morning. He used Ephesus as an example. Since I have traveled to Turkey several times and spent extensive time there it was very interesting for me. I attended the 8:30 am service and Jesus came with me. He's always a gentleman. He never makes me walk alone. You will witness His presence in my photos. He is my best bud! My review is not 5 stars simply because the new generation worship music does nothing for my spirit. I have never heard the songs, so it's hard to sing along. They did sing 2 traditional hymns after and that lifted my spirit. I'll be back."
