"Kelsey was awesome! We needed a roll of quarters to do laundry and she helped us. She greeted us with a smile and was very friendly. We had went to a bank before stopping here and they refused to give us change because we were from out of town. Needless to say, we are looking to relocate to TN. Kelley reassured us that people are friendly in this community. Would highly recommend this branch to people!"
"Sent a certified letter to the bank at the address they gave and no one will go to the post office to pick up my payoff. Worst bank in all Tennessee. Claim I'm late and won't talk unless I make a payment! My payment has been there over a week and we can't get anyone to help. Stay away!!!! Hate this place"
"I have had a bank account at ORNLFCU my entire life, and they accused me of forgery when I tried to open my Business account with them because my form ss-4417 didn't have the stamp on it they were used to seeing, on top of the fact that it was going to take about 2 weeks to open a business account. I opened my Business account at Y-12, it only took 30mins, and now, most of my employees now have accounts at Y-12 to make payroll easier for me. The staff at Y-12 is much nicer too. I also have issues with my credit card at ORNL. I have to call a third party(Visa) if I have any questions, issues, or need to dispute charges. And apparently if I lock my card, either credit or debit, through the ORNL app it does not stop all new charges, and I was told that there's nothing they can do for unwanted charges that went through while my card was locked because I didn't contact the company the charges were from, and I can't dispute the charges with visa because they were too long ago, even though I did dispute the charges but Visa never tried to contact me about the dispute. ORNL does not want to take accountability for a miscommunication that their app allows by not stating how the card locking works. The only reason I still have an account with them is because I have the credit card with them, and I don't want canceling it to effect my credit score. But, after what I went trough with them today, I don't care how much it will affect my credit score. If you're thinking about opening a bank account, or thinking about switching banks, I highly recommend Y-12 FCU."
"I was recently at the ORNL Federal Credit Union in Oak Ridge at 215 S. Rutgers Ave, Oak Ridge, TN. I will say this though, I was impressed with the Open Concept layout of the Bank. I have been banking with ORNL FCU for years, since I was a teenager. I have been to almost every branch office at some point in my lifetime with Membership there. Their Staff is very friendly and their services are amazing too. ***In efforts to protect the Security of my Bank, I will not post any picture of the inside of the bank.*** ORNL FCU is very clean, plenty of parking including Handicap spaces, and Wheelchair accessible as well. Leave us a Like (below) if you read the review."
"Only giving one star because we have to. Worst bank ever. My business card was compromised and a BIG charge was put on our account. It was not flagged and we had no idea until we ran our card and it was declined. I called several days in a row before I could get anyone to file the claim for me. They just continued to bounce me from department to department. This happened in the middle of a snowstorm where I could not get out and get to the bank to see someone face to face. After I was finally able to file a claim they said they would give a provisional credit which they did not. They said they would give credit for any nsf fees that we incurred that to was a lie. After 3 weeks of hearing nothing I called the call center and was bounced around again from person to person for 4 hours before they finally put me on hold to just come back and tell me that my claim had been denied but could give no valid reason why this happened other than when I filed the original claim I told them that my card was still in my possession. Why they denied it based on that fact is unknown. The charges were in a different state that we do not live in. At this point I’m out a ton of money and see no reason to not take our business and personal accounts to a bank who will put customer service first. Considering how much money we filter through our account on a monthly basis I would have thought they would have been more inclined to help us with this matter instead of just denying the claim and not even have the courtesy to reach out and communicate that to us. If I had not of called in I have no doubt they never would have addressed it again. I don’t feel like our business is important to them at all. We are merely just an account number to them. We will be looking for a better bank."
