"Contacted them to get a quote to repair our deck railing and they came out quickly to do measurements. We were told we'd get the quote in 3-5 business days. After that, it has been radio silence (literally they've not made any effort to contact us since). We contacted them about 1.5 weeks later and were told someone would call back with an update. Well, no update and it has been 2 weeks. Now it is a month later and no follow up since initial contact. Just posting to warn others."
"Joe and his team did a great job from start to finish. High quality work at a fair price. The were able to handle all my projects from leveling to porches, Replacing windows and adding doors, paint and stain the house and install the hardscaping. Great communication and very easy to work with. Highly recommend!"
"I called Joe about two issues with my home. He finally came out after a couple missed appointments to evaluate the situation. He was very nice, professional and seemed to know what he was talking about. He gave me a good feeling about his knowledge, and as importantly, his professionalism. The feeling didn't last long about the latter. He said he wanted to rip off the decorative cladding on my pedestal home supports to determine which ones needed replacing. It seemed he could've just cut off the bottom two feet, but I didn't question him. He also said he wanted to chemically clean the underside of my deck, as it was covered with mildew. For these two projects, he gave me a price. He said he would give me an estimate of replacing deck supports / leveling my deck once he could see what needed to be done. He would give me a second estimate on replacing my deck railing as well. His guys showed up a few days later to address the cleaning and removal of cladding on supports; I was out of town. First mistake was being gone when they did this. One of his employees stole an 8-ft-long piece of driftwood, a beautiful piece of art, from our yard that we had for years, pulled out of the river. I called him about it when I returned home. He discovered who took it, and brought it back to me, albeit sawed down to a stump, and told me he fired that person. I told my him wife was not going to be happy, but that it wasn't his fault, and I could tell he felt bad about it. He also didn't charge me for the removal of my support cladding for his evaluation of the wood integrity or the cleaning. I offered to pay him; he said no. Fair enough. I contacted him several times about his determination of what needed replaced and an estimate once the cladding was removed, as well as the deck railing estimate he was going to give me. I suggested a way to string cable across the deck. He said he would review the options. I contacted him several times about getting back to me on the estimates. He blew me off, and finally did get back to me, saying he couldn't do the cable railing as I had suggested. I said fine, do it however you feel most comfortable. He never got back to me again, and 3 months later, I have a huge pile of scrap wood under my house that for the most part, didn't need to be removed from the home supports. He also left me with hundreds, if not thousands, of dangerous, rusty nails sticking out from every wood support from the ground up. The guy demolished my cladding and left me to clean up a pile of wood and remove a ton of nails; even after I texted him I really needed him to come back and finish the job- give me an estimate and let's get it done. Never heard a word from him, which is quite ironic, given the back of his business card says- " "Now you should finish what you started. Let the eagerness you showed in the beginning be matched now. 2 Corinthians 8:11" A hypocrite, using such words? Not sure what to make of that. He truly left without finishing what he started. He wrecked my place and never came back. Not cool, dude! He failed his business card mantra and his own personal integrity. See photos:"
"Joe and and his team was awesome. After call couple of other. Joe was the first one said he would be glad to come and give me a quote and he show up. After we made a agreement his team was there the day he said and did one of the best jobs I’ve seen in a long time they were polite. They cleaned up after themselves. I couldn’t ask for a better crew to be at my house. Thank you, Joe and all your crews for what you did. I love my new deck."
"Joe and Mountain Brothers Home Repair were great to work with. Communicates extremely well, was clear on everything that was being done and went above and beyond. We had a huge deck repair and moving a hot tub on to the deck and he handled it all very well. Highly Recommend!"
