"A crew was supposed to come by my house today and pick up some large furniture donations. I went into the store over a week ago and show them photographs of what was to be donated. The furniture is in great condition. I spent the day waiting for them come by for the pickup. Instead I get a call around 430 saying they dont want any of the stuff. The guy on the phone was rude and unapologetic. I have delivered donations to them in the past. Never again."
"Great experience overall- I will say I can see, without being able to explain; the "uncomfortable" vibes I felt while navigating the store. I'm not sure if it was the setup, ambiance, or general layout- but after browsing for 10 minutes in an otherwise empty store I felt it was time to go. I did make a purchase. The gentleman behind the counter was pleasant. I love the cause and even though there wasn't much that caught my eye this time, it won't deter me from stopping in every now and again. I feel the need to apologize about feeling somewhat uncomfortable in your store, it is probably a "me" thing.. so I didn't demerit :)"
"Stopped by this ReStore while in Blue Ridge. So many neat and unique offerings. Loads of hardware, furniture, linens and housewares. All at great prices. The day we stopped by they were having a Christmas in July sale on holiday items. Got some really cute things."
"I hear of people finding great things at habitat stores but I never see what they do. It wasn't set up nice & there really wasn't anything I could use. I saw 2 things that caught my eye but both items were on a counter or table that said they weren't processed yet. Oh well. To respond to the response-- There's no selfishness on my part & not scathing either, just an honest review of my experience. I never said, or thought items were purchased, I'm aware they're donated. I've donated countless things to charity thrift stores & shop at them. I understand the cause & that's great. I like digging around & rooting through things & understand each location is unique; I merely stated that I personally haven't ever found anything at habitat stores & it wasn't for me. Some people may love it, to each his own."
