"Kitchenaid 8 years old. French door fridge had a controller problem for the ice and water. Got part replaced and was told over the phone tips to make it easy."
"I purchased a home in 2019 which contained all whirlpool appliances in the kitchen. When the dishwasher broke down in February 2022, I should have followed logic and get another brand, but I decided to keep all the appliances with the same brand and get another whirlpool dishwasher. Big mistake!!! By November 2022, it stopped draining. The dishwasher is full with water after every wash. No need cleaning dishes if they are gong to be rinse with the same dirty water. Lets not forget it leaks when it get full of water. After about 5 repairs since Dec 2022, they have switch the drain pump 4 times and the sensor once. No resolution. They will not admit that their product is defective product and replace it. Instead they are sending a Sr Technician to try once more on May 16, 2023 when the extended Warranty expires May 8th. I'm so disappointed in the service and product. Save yourself the trouble and purchase another brand."
"We purchased this range on 12-2-22. We noticed that when the oven is on that the left frame and left front frame got extremely hot while cooking. So hot that you couldn’t touch it. We have spoken with Customer service on several occasions with no resolve to this issue. The first tech from Advantage Appliance said “There is no issue with this unit.” Another call to Whirlpool and after I stated that I would meet guest at the door and tell them not to touch the stove she stated “ That would be a good idea.” They sent a tech yesterday from Advance Appliance and his first words were “I’ve never seen an oven do this.” He called Whirlpool Tech support and was told that this issue was normal heat transfer. I asked him what he thought I should do and he stated “Just tell everyone not to touch the stove.” I spoke with a Customer Service Lead and was told “Since technical support said it was not an issue they would not do anything.” I asked if there was someone above her and she stated “ There is no one above me as I am the customer service lead. THIS IS ANOTHER COMPANY THAT DOES NOT STAND BEHIND ITS PRODUCT AND HAS TOTAL DISREGARD FOR THE CONSUMER."
"Our brand-new Whirlpool washing machine broke down less than 7 months after purchase. Four parts were identified as broken at the first service, and only two were available. It is now 5 weeks after the first service, and still no parts. Even worse, Whirlpool sent us to their only local service partner, but they do not honor their own service partner's commitment. To be specific, the service partner ordered the needed parts immediately after their first service attempt, but, to our shock, when we called Whirlpool 17 days after the first service attempt, Whirlpool told us they have to wait for 21 working days from the moment we are calling right then, instead of from their own partner's parts order date, since the partner didn't tell Whirlpool about the part ordering! No matter how we explained the situation, Whirlpool's associate and team lead just keep repeating their "policy". When we asked for escalation, the team lead said he is the top of the company, and he hung up on us. Throughout the whole conversation, no one said any words apologetic, and no customer caring was shown. As a result, we are still going to our neighbor for laundry week by week after 5 weeks, not knowing when the broken Whirlpool washer can be repaired or exchanged. We don't understand why the next step in their policy (exchange or reimbursement) cannot happen, even if their own service partner already told Whirlpool that the need part won't be available for another 30 days. Even worse, they insisted on counting the 21 days much later than the parts order date, even with clear explanation by their own service partner. Every call to Whirlpools customer service took 40 - 50 minutes to be picked up. And I couldn't find any other way to escalate my issue. Looks like Whirlpool doesn't care about the customer, nor even their own brand reputation. Stay away from the Whirlpool brand!"
"Inferior manufacture of top loading washers that emit a deafening grinding noise just after spin cycle begins. Noise occurs just after one year factory warranty expires. Service call just to diagnose Robles costs consumer $149.95 and does NOT include labor & parts to fix! Service charge occurs even if an extended warranty was purchased. Whirlpool obviously generates revenue by continuing to produce inferior products and collecting on warranties, service calls, and repairs that equal or exceed price of a new washer . They own Maytag too. No help at all from customer experience center that recognizes this faulty grinding sound and only provides vendor phone number and policies. For American consumers who prefer to buy American products, Whirlpool does NOTHING for that American consumer other than empty your pockets!! Numerous online complaints, as well as numerous sites that instruct different fixes IF the consumer can figure out what the exact issue is. With SO many complaints and online suggestions for fixing, it is UNCONSCIONABLE that Whirlpool ignores consumers who are writing about this. This is shameful and obscene business practice. Design of products is obviously made to last just beyond the one year warranty. I am the sole user of my washer, do not overload it, nor have heavy loads even though there is setting for bulky items. Additionally, I had to purchase washer during Covid (autumn 2020) when finding appliances was more challenging. Forget about calling, online form, or even chat box - all are just call centers that informed me that there was NO ONE to contact at Whirlpool about functional failures!! WOULD NOT have even given one star except that post will not go up without a star rating - yet another deceptive business practice!"
