"Wasn’t planning on stopping here on my way to Ironwood but I am a huge history buff, so this was pretty neat to see just off the side of my route back. There is a fence around it but there’s some neat information about how the mine shaft dropped almost 2400 feet. Crazy to think you’d be standing right over it in the parking area!"
"The road to this structure is a dirt road off the side of the main road, and it's easily driven on, even for cars. The enormity of the structure is evident as soon as you get up close...and it just is so cool to look at. There are signs here explaining what you're looking at, and what it was used for. A great piece of history, beautifully and naturally preserved."
"Cool place with a lot of history"
"Easy access, but make sure your.vehicle can handle the road! I don't know of to many historic sites that you can get that close to. Historic site as in a mine shaft"
