"TERRIBLE. MOST unprofessional bank that I have ever encountered. ELKHART branches are WONDERFUL. Not Merriville."
"The experience with this Chiphone credit union is absolutely terrible!! The staff has negative and bad attitudes when you request help and support from them. I requested help in regards to an account and I continue to get no real steps of action or solutions from this Merrillville branch. It's very clear how they treat customers!! Absolutely terrible with no concern for members time, their money nor their accounts. They offer nothing special to their members, no incentives, no credit lines, no loans, no credit cards. What is the point of being a long term member? There is no return in being a member of Chiphone, you only encounter a very bad customer experience. You also get treated like you don't matter and the branch is not really trying to help you as a member. What is the point of being a member of this credit union. I've tried to be patience, understanding and look beyond multiple issues. But when you do not allow members to have full access to their own money that is rightfully their own money. And the branch create obstacles for members. It is time to go and move your accounts elsewhere. We live in a world where other financial institutions are very willing to work and open up accounts for new customers. The old saying is still TRUE. The customer is always right! Treat us like you want to keep our business and drop your attitudes at the door when you come into work. I work hard every day and don't need the attitudes of employees who can't resolve basic banking issues. Get new employees who can handle banking needs efficiently and respectfully. "Not very happy. I opened an account online and that excited me. According to their website if you was related to a current member or worked at one of the businesses that they had listed you then could become a member. I get that I live over an hour away but I own a business in Gary Indiana and was going to transfer my business accounts over to them also. But instead they closed my account and said because I didn't live in Indiana I couldnt be a member. So sad."
"honestly the criteria they go by is utterly ridiculous and other finiancial institutions will go beyond to help, based on relationships and pribate clients, as for they are priority and NSF fees without consent of contract, if you deposit money they will take all of it and claim you were disclosed when you sign up which is false. honestly a bank is an investment firm to take money and make a huge percentage off of it. Securities and "loans" are merely created when you"Sign" for the bank can't lend any money, when it's all said and done YOU balance their books and also mortage notes when they swap them with CUSIPS... by far the only union I know to not help someone. Will definitely be discussing with SOS to find out more ."
"It's very professional and very fast. They don't waste time .I have been with them since 1978 and I will die with them. In other words can't convince me to leave."
