Dr. Bales checked frequently with the nurses during my testing, listened to my questions and took time with me to discuss the results and next steps. It was an overall outstanding experience."

"Came here for the emergency room and I wasn’t sure if they were open or not but to my surprise they were open. The parking lot was super empty but I highly recommend coming here because the service is amazing and they had me in and out very fast. They are still new only have been open for 2 months and still adding more regular services in the rest of the hospital but for the most part they have a good amount of doctors here. They are very thorough and will have you in and out in no time. When I say the service is amazing I mean that the front desk, security, nurses, technicians and doctors were all so sweet and were very attentive. Thank you guys for your amazing work and thank you for being here to help save lives. I see you all and you are a blessing to the community."

"UChicago Medicine is a great hospital. It has recently opened in Crown Point, Indiana and unfortunately my wife had to go to the Emergency Room and be admitted, but fortunately for us the service was tremendous and we were very pleased. Doctor D was thorough in his assessment and treatment as well Dr Rodriguez and NP Jessica. The nursing staff was tremendous and very caring. They checked on my wife above and beyond what was expected. Lilly, Jaelisa and a couple other triage nurses, whom I sorry but can’t remember their names, were very attentive to my wife’s concerns. The registration staff from the time we came in all the way to meeting Nurse Manager Shannon upon our departure were totally awesome. Just wanted to add they treated me very well as they let me stay overnight and gave me the same courtesy as my wife. They are very impressive and glad to have them in our region."

"I was the first person to get to stay for a week-long EEG as an in-patient for epilepsy testing. It’s a lovely hospital, smells brand new :), amazing nurses and staff. They are so accommodating, gentle, caring and skilled. A lot of the staff have come from the main Hyde Park Chicago hospital, and it’s been exciting getting to finally learn more about my condition with all this testing. As an epileptic patient you are required to stay in bed and have to be escorted to the bathroom every time. It’s not ideal but the nurses are there immediately when I call for them. And when I feel bad asking for help they keep letting me know that’s what they’re there for. There are a ton of great restaurants nearby that you can have delivered to the hospital, annd the nurses will go get food you have delivered for you in the lobby. They also will personally get you food from the hospital menu 24/7 (though it’s just a warming kitchen so they only have frozen foods and snacks but a good variety even for gluten free, sugar free vegetarians like me!). They have a Farmers Fridge that you can order from on your phone and the nurse will go get it for you so you can still get healthy salads and non-frozen meals. The room is huge, private, with big windows looking out into a parking lot with trees and grass so it’s actually really nice to look at. It’s very peaceful. The bed and pillows are actually comfy enough to stay in 24 hours for days, and they are constantly checking in and asking how im doing. There’s an accessible shower, and their TV comes with a speaker in the remote so you can easily hear it. For in-patient EEGs I highly recommend this hospital!
