"I don't write negative reviews, but I'm afraid this situation warrants an exception. I saw Dr. Mussman because of pain in my hamstring and groin. He was friendly during the visit and answered my questions, but pressed to go in and do exploratory surgery and said while he was in there he'd fix my hernia issue, which he had decided existed without having any images. I pressed for an MRI and he ended up approving it and it showed I had multiple partial hamstring tears, which I addressed thru a few months of Physical Therapy. I continued to have groin pain and I was fortunate to end up being a "guinea pig" for a Physical Therapy seminar led by two nationally renowned Therapists. After 3 hours of examination over a two day period they were convinced I had a groin issue and suggested I ask Dr. Mussman to do another review of my MRI images with an eye toward a possible groin tear. Dr. Mussman refused to review the images (even though his nurse supported my request and tried to help) and would only offer to do surgery, as opposed to spending two minutes reviewing the images. He might be a good surgeon, I'm don't really know, but I could never recommend him to family or friends knowing his first course of action is to cut into people as opposed to spending 2 minutes to consider an alternative."
"Dr. MUSSMAN performed hernia surgery on me yesterday. He is an amazing, highly recommended surgeon. He's direct, thorough, concise, commuicative.....I could keep going. I thank him from the bottom of my heart. All went well and I am up and walking around today and honestly in NO pain! Thank You....."
