Welcome to St. Michael the Archangel Church, a vibrant and welcoming community located at 1 West Wilhelm Street, Schererville, Indiana. Our mission at St. Michael Parish is to strengthen our relationship with God through prayer, compassion, and healing, shared with our brothers and sisters. We strive to create an environment that fosters spiritual growth and connection. We invite you to join our joyful celebrations and worship experiences, which we hope will be uplifting and filled with the joy of the risen Christ.
Service times are as follows:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM & 5:00 PM
- Sunday: 7:30 AM, 9:30 AM, & 11:30 AM

"Well, actually took Mom to cemetery to see the gravestone that was recently installed on my parents grave."
"Very over priced for an average education. Coming to the school there is not much outreach or communication for new students. They charge a lot of money if you are not able to complete service hours. We have to work to give our children a good education which leaves not much room for service hours. Some discipline is good, however, some of the teachers talk down to the children. They are punished for sticking up for themselves. Not much support as for before/after care or any support in-between sports or after school activities."
"Beautiful church designed in the round. The alter is in the middle and the priest sits kinda behind you. Gorgeous high ceilings and an old world looking cement floor. The dont have books in the pews, they give you papers when you enter. Very different. My cousin paid for a mass here for my dad who passed away a year ago. However they never mentioned his name the entire mass! Did they forget? I was disappointed."
"Evey since we been coming here to church here at St Michael it's always felt like home and there education system is wonderful it like the good old days were homework is in the books and you have to show your work and the teach the real values and values of the importance of church not this nonsense we got these days....."
"This beautiful church allowed a new choir to join in their Epiphany concert, and we were so excited to participate! The Cantata Choir sang the 60th anniversary performance of The Night of Miracles Cantata by John W Peterson. We look forward to collaborating again in this and other churches in the area!"
