"The first thing they tried to do was up sale me to a more expensive surgery that insurance didn't cover. The deal breaker and the second thing they did was set up an appointment. The Dr you see for your initial consultation wouldn't be the Dr that did the surgery. So basically the surgeon would learn your name when he walked in the door to surgery. He would be operating on your eyes never having seen them and no experience with them at all. I'm not a number and won't be treated as such. Take your production line surgery methods back to Indianapolis."
"Terrible experience! I have been going to Indy Price Vision Center for over 2 years trying to get my eyes fixed from the damage Dr Farber did with my catarac surgery. Have had so many eye surgeries to repair damage I've lost count. He needs to have his license taken away. And the office staff is the rudest I've ever seen. This place is a joke."
"This office is one of the WORST I've ever been to. My dad has macular degeneration and glaucoma. His retina specialist sent him to Dr. Farber. As has been mentioned in other reviews, his staff is RUDE, they are curt with their answers, not the least friendly or jovial. My dad had an appointment on 2-20-21 that was cancelled by Dr. Farber's office due to an impending snowstorm that week. The girl that called told me they'd get back to us in a few days to reschedule it, and it took three, yes THREE months for them to call to reschedule it. My dad is on an eye drop for his glaucoma and was given a prescription for the drops by Dr. Farber, and the girl who scheduled his next visit (which he isn't going to) said she'd call it (the prescription) in right away.......two weeks later and still no eye drops prescription called in to the pharmacy. Called to ask why it has taken so long, and the girl I spoke to tried to lie her way out and claim it was sent. I not only caught her in said lie, but asked why she was lying to me about it being called in when it clearly wasn't. I told her the pharmacy calls with a notification that you have a prescription to pick up, and they haven't called. The best option for anyone referred to this Dr. is to AVOID him and his rude, unfriendly and clearly incompetent staff."
"Very rude staff especially with my 5 yr old. He's never had an eye appointment and he was scared of doing the drops. You could hear in the voice she was not happy he was upset. The tech did all of the measurements and dr didnt even look at my boy, just read what the tech wrote and decided treatment on that. Staff was horribly rude and very unfriendly. I tried twice to get prices for glasses. Once she walked around for a half hour and never did answer my question. I ended up going back a few hours later and asked for a treatment plan. The receptionist literally asked what that was. I told her and she said shed find someone. At this point the lady refused to come up front and she sent messages back and forth with the reception. The entire visit took 3.5 hrs. My 5 yr old was an exhausted irritated mess when we were done"
"WASTE OF TIME DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! I tried putting no stars but it wouldn't let me post. I have had quite a few eye doctors over the years but never one like this. This is the absolute worst place ever. They have never heard of customer service or tending to the patients needs. The lady that takes you from the waiting room did my entire appointment until I asked if I was ever going to see the actual doctor. Finally he came but it was a waste of his time. He wanted to make many more appointments and drag everything out. He would not look at my eyes at all. I asked him to look at them and even after telling him my father is blind and it runs in the family he did not care to look at all. They had me try different contacts without checking my vision and they were all super blurry. His conclusion was "maybe your eyes reject contacts".... I HAVE WORN THEM FOR YEARS. Before letting me go after 1 hour and 45 minutes they shut me in the room whispered a couple things and then said lets make some appointments. I have never experienced anything like this. I refused to pay anything and walked out the most unhappy about an appointment I have ever been. All of the workers were rude, snobby, and would not talk to you. It was my first time seeing the doctor and I do look pretty young for my age. I am not sure if he thought I would just be okay with everything and not know any better or what. Just want others to be aware before they go here and the doctor never looks at your eyes and something is missed."
