"Sat for over 20 minutes to pay with credit card on 7/8/24 at approx 2:30 pm. Machine would not work for anyone in a timely manner and pressing the help button did little. Should have taken 94 for free rather than pay $7.20 to cross bridge and add 20 min to my travels."
"There is always a long wait no matter the direction. For almost $7 per car, there must be a way to make this more efficient. Not really fair of you need to get off in Chicago at the stop just after you've waited excessively to pay."
"$33 to cross a stupid bridge, since there are 4 axles between our truck and RV travel trailer. And the credit card reader at the toll booth wasn't working. Had to back up the truck & trailer to get to a booth with a person in it. Wasted about 30 minutes, which totally negated the intent to take the toll bridge route to save time. Oh, and then once you cross the bridge, you pay more tolls to proceed east on I-90."
"Since the skyway was purchased in 2005 by the Skyway Concession LLC, it's grown progressively worse and worse. Lack of maintenance with the road, toll booths and over all facility is very poor. Pot holes everywhere, I've received 3 flat tires in a 2 year period. This last time I hit several pot holes in a row and blew out my front left tire. To file a claim you have to answer all kinds of ridiculous questions aimed at denying your claim. A civil lawsuit should be started to make this road way legit again. Veronica, one of the people to deny your claim wasn't even prepared when speaking to her, it was like high school and she just kept saying it's denied. Zero accountability! I will avoid the road going forward."
"$6.60 for a two axle vehicle? Yowza! I wonder how much profit Macquarie and Cintra are making on the 99 year lease thanks to the shortsightedness of the city of Chicago. $1,800,000,000 was sent to the city. How much of that money will be left? Doesn't matter - by the time that bill comes due, none of the politicians who were responsible for it will be around. On the plus side, their toll transponder accepted my NC Quick Pass."
