Welcome to the Palestine Public Library District, a vibrant community hub located at 201 South Washington Street, Palestine, Illinois. Our library is dedicated to serving the needs of our small community by providing a wide range of resources and activities for all ages.

At Palestine Public Library, we offer an extensive collection of books, including large print and audio books, as well as movies, magazines, and ebooks through our Cloud Library. Our patrons can enjoy access to computers, computer classes, and Kindle checkouts, along with notary and fax services. We also provide technical support for phones, iPads, and computers, and offer copy and printing services.

Our library hosts a variety of engaging programs and clubs. Join us for the Li'l Ones Story Hour starting Tuesday, September 3rd, or unwind with Yin Yoga led by Shari Eckert on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Book enthusiasts can connect at the "On the Same Page" Book Club, meeting on September 12 at 4:30 p.m., while knitters of all skill levels can gather for the Yak & Yarn Club every Wednesday afternoon.

We take pride in being a welcoming and helpful resource for the community. Our friendly staff is always ready to assist, whether you're looking for a quiet place to work with free WiFi or participating in one of our many programs. The library is also home to various clubs and events, including the Adult Book Club, Gamer's Night, and the Crawford County Railroaders meet-ups, ensuring there's something for everyone.

We offer free notary services, with the requirement that paperwork be signed in front of a notary. Please note that the Yak & Yarn Club will not meet in July 2024.
