"Sad to say we don't really have an alderman. Look at the alleys. Overgrown weeds from 110th street and Michigan west to eggleston. Just a straight jungle and I've made request multiple times. Every ward has forms online (speed hump/bump petitions etc.)but not the 34th. Won't cut down or trim trees that are damaging my property. Anyone with eyes can see what's lacking in our alderman. The worst in the City."
"Horrible. I called to get assistance and was polite despite the fact that my recycling hadn't been picked up in over a month. All I got was some rude older man who sounded like he couldn't be bothered- giving ME numbers to call. Absolutely disgusting treating people that way when you're being paid to provide us a service. Edit: Here were are six months later with the same situation, only now it sounds like the guys is ALSO drunk. What is even going on at this office?!"
"First let me say that I don’t even live in the 34th Ward. I’m a resident of the 9th Ward. I had to contact this office regarding a concern I had at Roseland Hospital. By the way Roseland Hospital is located in the 34th Ward and not the 9th Ward as I thought. I contacted their office by phone on a Tuesday and received a call back the very next day. I spoke with Mr. Wilson who not only listened to my concerns but also showed me compassion and understanding. I’m so very appreciative of the assistance that I received. I received more from them in one day than I could have ever expected! By the way did I mention that I called the 9th Ward office several times and emailed them and never received a response? When I called the office and was finally able to speak with someone they referred me to the 34th Ward and I’m so thankful they did. Thanks again to Mr. Wilson for helping a resident outside of the 34th Ward. You have a great team Alderman Austin."
"I’ve lived in this area since 2016 and she is THEE WORST! Won’t do anything to help the community she’s supposed to help, unless money, cameras or clout is involved. I’ve been calling this unprofessional office for 2yrs now trying to get stop signs and streets paved, especially Love between 115th and 117th. Sad to say but she brought this on herself. When you do know good in your community, which is YOUR JOB, no good comes back. Maybe now this community can get someone who actually cares"
"Alderman Austin took time with the Williams family during our time of bereavement and the loss of our Beloved Lt. Dwain P. Williams who was murdered on December 3rd. As his daughters we wanted to know HOW we could effect change that is sustainable to stop the violence in Chicago and especially the 34th ward. With her assistance and direction on what we could do and SHOULD. Our family now has direction and support. Thank you Alderman Austin!"
