"I’m not surprised by the low rating and that’s why I’m here! For some reason the workers at this post office ALWAYS have an attitude LITERALLY. During my visit it was an elderly lady standing to the side leaning on counter waiting to be served by another worker to mail a box however when another lady came to window I offered for her to go in front of me so the worker said she’s not next then I said it’s ok she can go in front of me and the worker did NOT like that for some reason! (Im thinking it’s because she didn’t want to deal with the box) Anyway the worker proceeded to tell me well since you want to wait you can get back in line!!! Then she closed her window BACK down with a full lobby and said she was going to lunch!!! Needless to say everyone was frustrated at her actions!!! Something has to be done about this location."
"One star for the personnel. I have been hawking my tracking updates for a package which said “USPS is in possession of it” just for me to get there and try to get obtain it and a heavy set lady said it isn’t in there. 3 days later I get a new update saying my package had just left that postal service at 3AM. So I went back there and a lady tells me it’s been there all along. So I conclude that no one in there does their job and they do whatever to get you out of their face. I have yet to meet a kind Postal lady. They’re all angry bitter and lazy!"
"This post office is so under staffed they cancelled my passport appointment 10 mins before the actual time. Since I was omw I went inside to find it completely EMPTY! Still the Clerk did not honor my appointment. Spoke to the supervisor Mr.Bray who is NOT qualified for Clerk duties and so I had to leave and set another appointment elsewhere."
"The employees are very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I came 2 hours before they closed and was met with a rude, and condescending female employee that aggressively told me through the glass door, that they were closed for the day. I informed her that they close at 7 PM NOT 5 PM. The rude employee then stated “we closed today at 5”. She did not provide an explanation or an apology. I asked if their hours changed and she stated “No”. She then stated that they close at 7 PM Monday-Friday. Like make it make sense! How can you close 2 hours before your normal schedule and not provide a reason or even an apology. This location is very unorganized and inefficient. Mind you, I went there to discuss a package that should have been delivered 1 week ago and seems to have gotten lost. This is the worst post office location in Chicago. This place needs to be investigated and re-staffed with competent and organized employees!"
"A package that was for my BIRTHDAY was sent back to sender 2 days before my birthday because apparently the mail carrier didn’t see my name on my mailbox. When my name is posted there clear as day. When I went to get them to hold the package rather then sending it back the lady asked “is your name on the package” “is your address on the package” forgive me if I’m wrong but I’m almost positive you can’t even have anything delivered to you without and address or a name … mind you it was an Amazon package , they won’t deliver to you without verifying your info. So what you’re telling me is the mail carrier didn’t even bother reading"
