Reviews
"Some interesting monuments here in the cemetery with its history stretching to the Colonial Period. The last person to be interred there was in the 1959s. Several influential people are buried there, like Nathan Brownson, a former Governor and Continental Congressman as well as General Daniel Stewart (nearby Fort Stewart is named for him.) who joined the Revolutionary Army and went on to serve in Congress for several years. He is also the great-grandfather of President Teddy Roosevelt. There is a nice monument in the cemetery for him."
"A very historic area with graves of many from the 1700's and 1800's. There is a directory near the entrance of those buried here. The church has a lot of history, as Sherman's cavalry stayed there for a month on their March to the Sea. Many notable people came from Midway and many buried here."
"A very rich history in here. Some graves are from before we even became a nation. Well worth a stop if you love history."
"Lots of rich history and great stories posted in the glass case inside the cemetery"
"Very peaceful and reverent."
