"Sadly my experience with Rocky at St Marys Boat Services was a mess. I drove down from Canada in Aug to see him in person as he did not answer his phone and you could not leave messages and had a 30 minute meeting in his office setting up the haul out of our 50ft trawler in Oct. I was asked to call a week before and I did with no answer, sent a text message which was responded to 2 days later stating that he only had room for us with no power or water. We were to be on the hard, living on the boat for 2 weeks, having full bottom paint, some top paint, wash compound and wax, props and shafts re&re, cutlass bearings and shaft seals replaced, rudder seals and bearings replaced, front windows removed to replace full sized residential fridge in galley and re bedded and many more things completed. This was a $40,000 haulout that took a year to plan and had to be canceled 4 days out because Rocky forgot about us and could not make it right. Clearly this place needs better organization and more professional management so people are not left dealing with the stress and loss of a cruising season not to mention over $800 in lost deposit to 6 different contractors who also lost work. Very disappointed and feeling very let down."

"We hit something while coming through Pablo Creek and lost our port transmission. It was late on the evening when we called St. Marys Boat Services. Although they were full, Rocky made a place for us and we were towed in late in the evening - it was already dark. The mechanic (Chris) and the lady who does boat bottoms (Rhonda) met us early the next morning when the boat was hauled out and put on blocks. A plan of action was quickly developed and work on the bottom began the next day; little did we know just how much work would have to be completed. At any rate, parts were ordered for the transmission and the old transmission, the shafts, and the props were removed as soon as the insurance agent had made his estimate. Work proceeded immediately. Although it took a month for everything to be completed, we could not have been treated better and the service was great. Our boat is running great and the bottom looks fantastic!
