"I had a job that was very sensitive and required an operator that was amazingly precise. It was excavating next to a building with zero tolerance for error. I also had a job that required some consultation on what could be done and how to do it. This job was a new pond. Alex easily completed BOTH jobs ON TIME!! First, he made all the work look so easy with his finesse and control over the machinery. When he completed the wall, it looked as if it was dug with a laser! The pond ended up being much harder than I thought. Terribly rocky soil, extreme heat, and lots of vegetation to remove. Again, Alex made it look easy. I was dumbfounded at the amount of material he was able to move in such a short time. The last piece was the price. The estimate seemed too low. After seeing what Alex was able to do, I knew he was undercharging for his experience and expertise. The final bill was EXACTLY what Alex told me it would be. I cannot say enough good things about how he works. Note, he does not even throw out his trash in my garbage can, he takes it home with him."

"We hired Lee's Light Excavating to re-grade and re-gravel our driveway, after rainwater from the hill above washed the old material away. The water also carved a deep ravine along the side of the driveway, which required installing a more comprehensive drainage solution. Alex Comella came to our house promptly and provided a very competitive quote. It was clear from the beginning that he knew exactly what to do, and proposed a variety of different options for our drainage issues. We decided to award him the job because of his clear professionalism, experience and know-how, and we couldn't have made a better choice. Once the scope of work was agreed to, Alex even came back to our house on a rainy day to see exactly how and where the water was collecting on our driveway, so that he could make sure that the drain was installed in exactly the right place to be the most effective. This was a big job, but Alex and his team were surprisingly quick, without sacrificing any quality in their work whatsoever. They showed up on a Monday morning and were finished at the end of the next day. We could not be happier with the work he did, and the professionalism that he and his team showed throughout the process. Alex is also a very nice, honest and friendly person - so it was great to have him on the job site more generally. "Amazing!! Super job doing a new brick walkway that was a disaster, went above and beyond. Extremely fair price, fast estimate and did work fast not cutting any corners and exactly as he said he'd do it. Eliminated puddle accumulation at end of walkway so it is safe now for my daughter to walk out of her house with her cane and walker. I cried, great person and his stone/brick helper too. Job more then well done; I'd reccomend him HIGHLY!!"
