Camden County College Police Academy

Welcome to the Camden County College Police Academy, a premier institution dedicated to providing top-tier law enforcement training. Established in 1988, our academy is certified by the New Jersey Police Training Commission and proudly offers a comprehensive range of training programs. These include basic police officer training, basic county corrections officer training, SLEO II and SLEO I officer training, and juvenile detention officer training.

Located at 420 Woodbury-Turnersville Road, Gloucester Township, New Jersey, on the Lakeland Campus of Camden County College, our academy represents a strong partnership with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Camden County Chiefs of Police. We are committed to enhancing police professionalism through education and strive to remain at the forefront of PERF, ICAT, and national standards of use of force and de-escalation training.

In addition to our foundational programs, we offer a variety of in-service and specialty training courses led by dedicated law enforcement educators. We also provide a voluntary Physical Fitness Preparation Program to help candidates meet the physical demands of police training prior to entry.

Upcoming classes include Basic Class for Police Officer Class #88, starting April 22, 2024, and graduating on September 19, 2024, and Class #89, starting July 22, 2024, and graduating on December 12, 2024. These classes will be conducted at the Camden County College Regional Emergency Training Center.
