"Call appointment: When answering my phone call today I couldn't hear a thing. So I get a call back and Mrs Hickman was super sweet!..let me tell you she is amazing her customer service skills is 5 stars! She made sure my application process went smoothly and she double check everything for me until the end of our phone call. Also something was going on with the computer system and Mrs Hickman explained the situation and I was told that I will get a phone call either tomorrow or friday and I totally agreed. In 30 mins to an hour Mrs Hickman called me back to finish my application and I was super grateful for her help and patience. She waited while I looked for documents and not once got upset with me I wish everyone stays with her positive attitude. Thank you again MRS HICKMAN!"
"The staff here was great and very thorough when helping me apply for a new social security card. My only complaint here is that the wait time was very long since all I had to do was hand in a paper. There’s also a strong smell of weed throughout this building. I greatly appreciate the help of the young lady behind window 1 though!"
"I have been here with my son several times and never waited more than 25 mins. We spoke with a different woman each time. They were both very pleasant with us and helped us with what we needed. They do have quite a few people working there and it flows smoothly from what I saw . Every one was working and numbers were being called at a consistent pace. I just wanted to leave an honest review because this is not typical of a government buildings. The wait times are usually really long, and they are understaffed."
"The one lady here who answers the phone and does phone appointments is RUDE, I hope for your sake you don’t have to deal with her because she literally will do everything she can to not help you and she will make you feel like you are dumb and bothering her. Another thing that is frustrating about this location is no one ever has a consistent answer. I went in and spoke to a gentleman 2weeks ago who told me to fax in the paternity results the court provided for my phone appointment next week. I lost the fax number so I called to get it again. Apparently this was the wrong information and the papers need to be brought in person. I’m so glad I misplaced the fax number because I have to go get the court to stamp a seal on the papers and bring them in person, they can’t be faxed. All this does is lead to delays for people who really need help and some of them just DONT CARE. I’ve been trying to help a child get any survivor benefits he is due since April and it has been such a frustrating journey. The first person I spoke to back in April when we started this process was very kind and helpful. I have never had to do anything like this before fortunately, so it was very helpful to have someone willing to explain everything to me and take the time to make sure I knew what to do. Now, for the follow up appointment in May, the person who called me was the person I first described, and today she was once again probably the rudest person I’ve talked to in a while.. She was just as rude and aggressive as the first time in May. The way she speaks is condescending and comes across as if you are stupid and you are wasting HER time. She listened to about 3 seconds of what I was calling about and thought she already knew what I was asking so she cut me off, told me she knew exactly why I was calling and just started RUDELY telling me what I had to do. I had to tell her that her incorrect rant wasn’t what I was calling about. She has no compassion or warmth and sounds like she hates her job. The people calling social security aren’t calling there for fun, they need help and when they call they shouldn’t have to feel like they are being reprimanded or dismissed or get a condescending attitude on the other end of the line. This person needs a different job where she doesn’t have public interaction."
"I went to the office to get things corrected and to get a new social security card for my 9 year old son. After waiting an hour, the agent didn’t want to hear what I had to say, and made a telephone appointment for a month later. ? Is this normal? She also said that I needed my son’s health documentation for a social security card. I told her I didn’t have his medical records. Then she said he can’t get his social security card ? I said I have his passport!!!! She set me up for a telephone appointment for the next month ?? Is all of this normal? Or a bunch of nonsense? Who do you complain to when they never answer the phone?"
