"My husband and I had our first, and probably only, eye exam at the Medford office this morning. Visit began with filling out the paperwork!!!! Which they forgot to send us. Let’s just say it takes me longer to brush my teeth than it does for their eye exam!!!!!!!!! We’re in our 70’s so quality eye care apparently isn’t essential. We will never, ever, ever go back to this practice. When we got home the request for us to fill out the paperwork was on my computer."
"I have been coming here for many years now. Great doctors ( especially Dr. Nachbar), technicians and staff. However, a recent trend I notice is the enormous wait time for non- surgical appointments. My wife had to wait at the Medford office for about 90 minutes last week. And here I am at the Moorestown location - it’s been more than 80 minutes since my appointment and I’m still waiting. And so are several others. Why couldn’t I be informed of the delay so I could avoid the wait? I suspect that with a new owner (PRISM), they are trying to cram in more patients than the infrastructure can support. This is not sustainable and very stressful to all - the patients, medical staff and the admin. PRISM better change their practices or they’ll lose their patients and the better doctors."
"Went in for my appointment and enjoyed my experience here. All the staff was very kind and inviting. Ben Mendoza was very helpful and so was Julia. Will be returning for sure."
"Why do they set appointments and the wait is always at least two hours before you actually see the doctor? The tests with the technician are actually very quick but the in between wait are more than thrice the times. They bugged me a lot to make the appt. Then I'm told that they can't find their equipment for one of the tests I need. Either they need to hire more people or just reduce the appointments in a day. It's no brainer. It makes me don't want to see doctors at all."
"I have been going to this practice for over 10 years and unfortunately feel the need to post a review of their current state of business. In the past, I have never had to wait more than 20 minutes before being called. This year, I was still waiting for over an hour and decided to cancel my appointment and leave. I appreciate that a practice is busy but it was like “grand central station” and felt like a factory. Not once did someone step out to inform that there was a delay or backup. When I decided to reschedule (which I also decided to cancel later), I asked the front desk if they were short staffed with doctors and was told that actually they were fully up and running and that Fridays are always like this. I had my physical today with my PCP and my medical assistant had shared that she had also been to the same practice the day before me and that it was the same experience. The fact that Fridays (and apparently Thursdays) are always like that is not an excuse. The practice is able to control the flow of patients and how many are booked in a given hour. Unless you have an hour plus to kill waiting, SJ Eye is not running efficiently enough these days to do that. I will say that I have only had good experiences with all the doctors I’ve seen at this location and their location in Bordentown (hence the extra star). However, the management and workflow have gone downhill and needs revamping. Sadly, I will be looking for another practice after all of these years."
