"Having recently suffered from Lyme Disease, I searched online for a top-notch internist and found one in Dr. Richard SantaMaria. He's so loved, respected, and trusted by his patients that it's difficult to get an appointment with him, but I managed to get one in about a week via Jefferson's online scheduling system. I was stunned by how much time he gave me at that appointment, and he REALLY listened to my concerns about my Lyme problem. Not only that, but, as an aside, I mentioned my untreated sleep apnea when he went over my health history and he arranged for me to see a sleep specialist he admires to finally get that problem under control. For the Lyme Disease, Dr. SantaMaria gave me a prescription for a different kind of antibiotic than I'd been taking (which was causing unbearable nausea). He assured me this other antibiotic would knock the Lyme Disease from my system, and I now feel fine and experienced no nausea with the antibiotic he prescribed. On top of that, Dr. SantaMaria once had this condition himself, so he knew just what I was going through -- and he cared!!!
