Autism is the fastest-growing developmental disorder in the United States, affecting individuals across all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. Recognizing the unique challenges that ASD presents, we offer comprehensive evaluation and assessment services for people of all ages. Our tailored treatment programs are designed to support both individuals and their families, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
We are proud to be a part of the Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), a nonprofit public health institute committed to creating healthier communities. Since our acquisition by PHMC in 2020, we have continued to uphold our mission of being the premier resource for specialized autism services in Philadelphia and its surrounding counties.
Our center is more than just a service provider; it is a community hub where families can find information, support, and training opportunities. We are pleased to announce that we have received a grant from the Eagles Autism Foundation, which will enhance our gross motor facilities for our clients.
Join us for a free training session for behavioral consultants, hosted in collaboration with the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute. We are committed to providing ongoing education and support to current and former clients and their families through programs like the CAPS program.
At The Center for Autism, we strive to be an equal opportunity employer and service provider, licensed under the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. Our dedication to improving the quality of life for individuals with ASD is unwavering, and we are excited to share our journey and successes with our community.

"They said that they would call back in 60 to 90 days. It's been 120, and I called them to find out what was going on, and they want to offer an appointment two months from now. At no point did they say that I might be waiting 6 months from the initial consultation to have any real outcome. Should have gone with a different business. Update: I tried to shop around with other businesses, and no one has any openings until next year, so they've got me over a barrel here. I wound up having to call this place back, and was given an even later appointment than when I last called. I don't have a choice."
"The quality of care and providers have significantly declined. I worked here in 2016 and would highly recommend back then. In 2023 my experience has been disappointing."
"I had an amazing experience at The Center for Autism for my adult autism evaluation, definitely a solid 5 stars. Everything from start to finish was smooth and easy. They emailed me all the forms I needed, which was super convenient. The initial telehealth session was helpful. The therapist asked all the right questions to get my full medical history, which I appreciated. The standout part was the evaluation with Dr. Mylissa Slane. I felt at ease throughout, and Dr. Slane was great at explaining things. It was interesting to see her take notes and to try to figure out the purpose behind each part of the assessment. I went in without any prep about the assessment, and I'm glad I did โ though of course, I was curious and looked up lots of things about it after. After the assessment, Dr. Slane asked me to sign some release forms so my mom and husband could give their input, too. That went pretty well, except for a small hiccup with my mom's email spam filter. (I helped her figure it out) The feedback appointment with Dr. Slane was such a relief. I was really anxious waiting for it, but it was worth it. She explained everything clearly to me and my husband, which was super reassuring. I felt like I could understand the report with her guidance there. In the end, getting my diagnosis confirmed was a huge relief. I totally recommend The Center for Autism to any adults out there who are wondering about autism for themselves. Plus, they accepted my insurance, which is a big deal because it's hard to find eval services that do."
"They started taking away phones in early 2023, told them I had an eating disorder and needed the phone to track if I was eating properly. They still took my phone away. They also suck with teaching proper skills for the older people in the program. It's very unorganized and they didn't really have people who seemed to care. (Only the few people who have been there for years do.)"
"My son attended this school years ago as a toddler and it made such a huge positive impact on our lives. It was the first time I felt truly heard & supported. I was taught so much that helped me to truly understand my child & to be able to help him. The Center for Autism made me look at ABA in a whole new light because of what they were able to for my child. I havenโt found anything comparable since & continue to rave about them!"
