"Surgeon was nice but they gave him an already opened kit without the main tool needed to do the job so I would assume since it was open it wasn't sterile. They didn't even give me Tylenol till after my surgery. My surgery was started with a screw driver pretty much. They treated me like I was nothing and they don't care if you get better or not they just want to get the work done and absolutely nothibg you say matters even if its informative about the surgery area. They will do what they want and you will have to like it. On top of that it seemed like everyone was mad at me because I got hurt. I don't wish the pain I went through on anyone but for some reason they wanted me to go through the most pain possible. It felt like they wanted to teach me a lesson. They did absolutely nothing to help me with my pain. I was told to breath even if I ask for Tylenol. I guess they are use to people ODing so they treat everyone like they overdosed even if you broke a bone. If you get taken here sign out and walk to another hospital unless you like to be in major pain. Also the Tylenol and ibuprofen I have at my house it like double the mg they prescribed to me. I'm thankful for the paramedic team that picked me up and anyone that tried to HELP ME and not judge me when I was sent to cooper."
"I have never seen a hospital that had such a big miscommunication problem. The doctors wouldn't communicate with us or my fiance the patient. They would always say they're going to do something then hours later we find out they never did it and we kept having to start over. The only time the doctors would actually communicate was when we got the patient advocate involved."
"Im at a breaking point with pain. Just wanted a break. I spent $40 on uber. Trouble breathing. Swallowing. Pain at a thousand. I get tylenol and lodicane patch. Lol What am I missing.? Wonder how much it cost me plus aggrevation. Noone cares. I could of got that at dollar general with positive experience. Shame on you cooper."
"Be prepared to wait forever at every step of the process. Saying you’re having trouble breathing doesn’t seem to matter to them in the waiting room. They block off the emergency entrance with cones at night so you can’t even drop your loved one at the emergence entrance, and the only parking option is a parking garage far away from the actual emergency entrance, which didn’t feel safe at night. Their valet parking option ends at 6 pm, right when you actually need it for safety. Nothing about this hospital is patient-centered. After we finally saw a doctor at 2 am they said they’d be right back with the discharge paperwork. It was another 1.5 hours before they came back. The nurse was nice enough to give us some crackers and apple juice, but that was the only positive thing about this experience. They move so slow at this hospital, they need to either improve their processes or staff appropriately"
"Pros: Well they have plenty of security. When we got to the back , nurse Amanda" in the back"; was great. But I'm honestly having issues finding many positives. Cons: The Emergency room is the smaller doors to the left of the main entrance, you can get easily confused. The first thing you see is a security walk through. The waiting room is small and uncomfortable. The workers shout out names instead of going out to the waiting room . They don't even know how to pronounce most people's names . You see more attention given to people from social services than nurses or techs etc. place smells of weed. You wait hours for them to do 1 thing at a time . The staff doesn't know anything about your reason there and do" just what they are asked to do".And they do tests that have nothing to do with why you're there. They don't alert your original Doctor you saw. You get the impression the people who work here really wish they had a different job. Others who clean , sit there on their phones and do nothing . I honestly don't know how they get the reputation they do. Location, it is in the most dangerous area in South Jersey, so don't walk anywhere. Don't go alone. The back was filled , where patients were all over the hallway. This is a review from a recent experience I had bringing my Father in law here . He was bleeding a lot from a bone marrow biopsy and they wouldn't take care of it right away . He is lucky he didn't bleed to death in their waiting room.Glade we badge him up the best we could before going. All and all , I would not recommend this ER to anyone. I'm Beef and that's where I was... Unfortunately."
