"I had a situation with the IRS. THE FIRST TIME EVER IN ALL OF MY 63 YEARS! I felt as though they had me jumping through hoops to prove my identity, which I did including sending them a control number they had sent only to me. After doing ALL I was asked, they sent me a notice that informed me that it could still take up to 60 days to receive my refund. I just wanted to publicly thank the staff at Senator Booker's office for taking the time to listen to my concern and providing me the assistance to resolve my situation positively. Thanks to Senator Corey Booker and his staff, who investigated my complaint, my refund was promptly sent to me."

"@ Scott Rutter: you are not alone concerning your issue with the SSA. You are correct, this is a nationwide issue. I am in a similar position, depending on exactly what you are going through, and I think I already know what may be happening to you. I have not reached out to Senator Booker's office to date, and I will return to post the outcome. Since 2022, when my 19 year old daughter died, and I reported this to the SSA, the local SSA messed up our benefits, and has accused me of being "overpaid" four times since then. So, over 2 years now. This is happening to many people across our country. Senator Maggie Hassan was in the News concerning these very issues. The Acting Commissioner for the SSA: Dr. Kilolo Kijakazi spoke about this, and then nothing was resolved. David Camp, the Interim Chief Executive Officer, spoke about this, referring to the SSA as a "broken structure." I've recently reached out to Headquarters in NY, concerning this. I have not heard anything back, to date. I am now here, to let Senator Booker know this is happening to me too. I am holding back a lot of information, and once I reach someone who IS willing to help all of us, I will share everything I have. This system is in serious need of change. I am sharing this (publicly) so ANYONE out there who is going through this, is aware, you are not alone. This is unlawful, and the SSA should be investigated, and stopped from harassing people, and causing any recipient undue stress. It's beyond unethical how the SSA is getting away with threatening a constituent's income, especially for those who are vulnerable, and barely surviving on what little they receive. Do not give up. Keep reaching out to whomever will listen until you are heard, and change happens. Shame on them to do this to anyone who is already living the struggle. I'm sorry this is happening to you. You are not in this fight alone."

"Contacted Mr. Booker‘s office for some help with my Social Security since there’s major issues across the country and I’ve been without benefits for two years. His office didn’t even have the courtesy to respond, but act like they care. I’ve been disabled for 22 years, but yet not one phone call or email back. Just another federal office like Social Security that won’t even give me an update on my case. Thanks for nothing Mr. Booker for disadvantaging another disabled person."

"Did not care about his electorate. Do NOT vote for people like him. As a resident of NJ, I asked his office staff for assistance - NOTHING was done. We do NOT need officials like him in our state. SHAME!!!!!"
