"I've been a parishioner for 51 years and have enjoyed the changes over time. Everyone is very friendly and become Family in Faith. The first Pastor I knew was Monsignor Musial (for baseball fans, he was cousin to Stan the Man). Each Pastor thereafter gave a little more to the Parish. Now having a Pastor, Father Mike, who is young, gives a lot of enthusiasm to the Parish and unites activities of Church and School..what a success it has been. More activities going places together and selling out various restaurants in "St. Ephrem Days". Each week the Church Bulletin has a list of all families joining and/or coming back to St. Ephrem. Father Mike also added the Sunday 4 pm Mass. If you are away for the weekend, you can come back for 4 pm Mass. Love being part of St. Ephrem Catholic Daughters of the Americas. We meet on first Sunday of the month at 1:30 pm September to June. Love St. Ephrem's. When going to communion, if you prefer to have the Body of Christ given to you by mouth, you are asked to step over to the Blessed Mother side of the Church. The Priest are dressed coming to Mass and put on their Vestments either in the Sacristy or nearby. The Priest are human and want you to know things happen to them too. The Priests and Nuns are very down to earth, not like the days you may recall as a child. (Just to clarify a previous person's comment)."
"Looks like one of the best parish and pastor.I always follow the Instagram and Fb posts.Beautiful activities and the best thing is Fr.Mike Speziale is always involved enthusiasticaly in all the activities and is friendly with the parishoners."
"If I could leave no stars, I would. We came to Mass here on 2/4/24 for 4 o’clock Mass after being unable to make it to our home parish. The priest got dressed in front of us instead of the sacristy. That was red flag #1 and I should have left at that point. The priest tried to physically open our daughter’s hand for communion when she made it clear she was receiving by mouth and then mumbled “oh, Christ” under his breath as if she was annoying him. It gets worse- when it came my time to receive communion, he didn’t want to place it on my tongue so much so, he dropped Jesus on the floor. Then, picked him up and asked me (while holding up the line, mind you) “do you still want this? Or do you want another one?” I just stared at him with my hands folded. “Okay, I’ll get another one” This. This is the epitome of why so many are fleeing Novus Ordo and finding reverence elsewhere. There were so many other terrible things that happened, but these were the key ones. I don’t know why I’m leaving this review because this kind of behavior is normal and acceptable in modern day Catholic Churches. Hopefully someone looking for a reverent church will read this and stay far away. Extremely sad."
"The best place to worship God! The greatest clergy in the USA. For transparency: Yes, I am a parishioner for the last e0 years, but this parish is only getting stronger and better with age. Come join us and see!"
"Sunday morning holy mass was just an hour so we were able to make it to the train station on time."
