Synovus Bank 463719 Florida 200, Yulee, FL 32097

"2 weeks ago I got a text from Synovus and was asked if I had made some unusual purchases. I hadn't made these purchases so I called the fraud department and talked to a fraud specialist. She documented the findings and put me on hold for the next stage of the process. The next stage of the process never came and they cut me off so I took my lunch break and went to the closest branch office. I got into the bankers office and we started digging into what went wrong. She assured me that I would start to recieve my money back as early as the next day! I was overdrafted in my account by $8.00. I didn't even know that I had overdraft protection! I didn't want that, so i had her change it. She also said that she was sending me a card and I would recieve it in a day or 2. I deposited my pay check in anticipation of recieving my card. A week goes by and no money in my account other then what I had put in there and no debit card after visiting the bank 3 times that week! The Next week comes, still no card and no money! I get to my pay day and I go to the bank to get a check for rent because my land lord doesn't accept cash and I have no bank card. The banker comes out of her office and asked me if I had seen my account. I said not since we talked the day before. She said that I was way in the negitive! She also showed me how to get and use the app. So I looked and yes I was way in the negitive! So I asked, what was going on and she said that one of the tellers accidently put money in my account and the bank took what little I had from my deposit the previous week and now I am 352.00 in the negitive! Remember I asked to have over draft removed so even if they took my money it should have shown 0 and now they want the check that I handed them for my rent check. I said really? In the grief that you have costed me in the last couple of weeks, you want to cause further damage? She gave me a half baked nod. I asked for my check back and felt fortunate to get it back! And I was on my way. This is the most incompetent buisness that have ever seen! The only reason that they got 1 star from me was so I can warn others with this review! Do not trust this bank with anything! The tellers and bankers are nice though."

"I would suggest not banking or opening a credit line with this bank or its online credit services. I changed jobs after 8 years to take a HIGHER paying position. I have never in over 7 years had a late or missed payment. They lowered my available credit without even checking to see what my current situation was. This messed with my credit score. Any bank that is willing to punish you for being a loyal customer should not be trusted. Don’t let this bank hurt your credit. There are plenty others that will not do this!"
